Wendy Holdener (born 12 May 1993) is a Swiss World Cup alpine ski racer who specialises in slalom and combined. [1] She is a two-time World champion in combined and a five-time Olympic medalist, [2] four individual with one gold medal in the team event at Pyeongchang in 2018. [3] Four years later in 2022, she won a silver medal in the combined. [4] [5]
Holdener made her World Cup debut in Sölden in October 2010, and attained her first podium in March 2013, a second place in slalom at Ofterschwang. In 2016, she gained her first two World Cup victories and won the crystal globe title in the combined discipline. [6]
Holdener's first win in a World Cup slalom came in November 2022 at Killington, shared with Anna Swenn-Larsson, after thirty previous podiums in the discipline without a victory. Another win came two weeks later at Sestriere, Italy.
Holdener finished the season in seventh place overall in the 2023 season [7] and second in Slalom. [8]

Nicole Hosp is an Austrian former World Cup alpine ski racer. She competed in all five disciplines and was a world champion, three-time Olympic medalist, and an overall World Cup champion.

Ester Ledecká is a Czech snowboarder and alpine skier. At the 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang, Ledecká won gold medals in the super-G in alpine skiing and in the parallel giant slalom in snowboarding, becoming the first person to not only compete in the Winter Olympics using two different types of equipment but to go further and win two gold medals and do so at the same Winter Olympics. She was the second woman to win an Olympic gold in two separate disciplines but the first to do so at the same Winter Olympics. The women's slalom competition of the Beijing 2022 Olympics was held on 9 February, " on Ice River" course at the Yanqing National Alpine Ski Centre in Yanqing District. Petra Vlhová of Slovakia won the event. This was the first Olympic medal for Vlhová and the first Olympic medal in alpine skiing for Slovakia. Katharina Liensberger of Austria won silver, her first individual Olympic medal, and Wendy Holdener of Switzerland bronze.

Johannes Strolz is an Austrian World Cup alpine ski racer. He won the gold medal in the combined at the 2022 Olympics. He specializes in the technical events of slalom and giant slalom. He is the son of Hubert Strolz, the gold medalist in Combined at the 1988 Winter Olympics in Calgary. He and his father became the first father-son duo to win gold in Alpine skiing at the Olympics.
The women's slalom in the 2023 FIS Alpine Skiing World Cup consisted of eleven events, including the final. The original schedule also called for eleven events, but a night slalom at Zagreb on 5 January was cancelled due to high winds and warm weather and not immediately rescheduled. However, a week later, the race was rescheduled as a second slalom at Špindlerův Mlýn on 28 January, accompanied by a shift of the giant slalom scheduled there that day to Kronplatz on 25 January.

The Women's Combined competition in the 2016 FIS Alpine Skiing World Cup involved three events, first a super-combined, and then two Alpine combined. At that time, FIS rules stipulated that a minimum of three races in a discipline were necessary to award a crystal globe to the discipline champion. This was a change from previous seasons, where fewer than three races resulted in no crystal globe being awarded for the discipline.
