Woods and Caples General Store (also known as Grove Furniture Store) is a general store located at Forest Grove, Oregon. [1] It is listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1985. [2]

History

The general store was built in 1893. It is considered as an important landmark in Forest Grove Downtown Historic District. Along with First Church of Christ, Scientist, it is listed with NRHP. [3]

The National Trails System is a series of trails in the United States designated "to promote the preservation of, public access to, travel within, and enjoyment and appreciation of the open-air, outdoor areas and historic resources of the Nation". There are four types of trails: the national scenic trails, national historic trails, national recreation trails, and connecting or side trails. The national trails provide opportunities for hiking and historic education, as well as horseback riding, biking, camping, scenic driving, water sports, and other activities. The National Trails System consists of 11 national scenic trails, 19 national historic trails, over 1,300 national recreation trails, and seven connecting and side trails, as well as one national geologic trail, with a total length of more than 88,000 mi (140,000 km). The scenic and historic trails are in every state, and Virginia and Wyoming have the most running through them, with six.

The J. A. Wood House is a historic house located at 3 Sacramento Street in Cambridge, Massachusetts. The large 2+12-story wood-frame Colonial Revival house was built in 1888 for James Wood, a lumber dealer. The house was designed by Hartwell and Richardson and originally faced Massachusetts Avenue. In 1925 it was rotated ninety degrees to face Sacramento Street, in order to make way for commercial development. The house is a wide five bays across, with a hip roof that is pierced by three dormers, and a left-side ell that is set back. The front entry is sheltered by a gable-front portico, which is supported by a series of paired Tuscan columns on each side.

Waldschmidt Hall is an academic building at the University of Portland in Portland, Oregon, United States. Constructed in 1891 as West Hall, the building was originally part of the now defunct Portland University located in North Portland overlooking the Willamette River. The Romanesque style structure built of brick and stone stands five stories tall. The hall was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1977 and renovated in 1992, the same year it took the current name. Waldschmidt, the oldest building on campus, now houses the school's administration offices and some classrooms.

The Roseburg Oregon National Guard Armory, also known as the Flegel Community Center, is a historic former armory in downtown Roseburg, Oregon, United States. The Roseburg Oregon National Guard Armory served as the main office of the Roseburg National Guard Company from 1914 until 1977. The building became a full-time community center in 1977. The former armory is located at 1034 SE Oak Ave, Roseburg, OR 97470, and situated directly south of the Roseburg Post Office. The armory was placed in the National Register of Historic Places on April 15, 1993.
