Omalorphanus aenigma is a species of beetle of the Staphylinidae family, Omaliinae subfamily. It is the only species of the genus Omalorphanus. The species was described by J.M. Campbell and D.S. Chandler in 1987 from the H.J. Andrews Experimental Forest at elevations of 3,500 feet (1,100 m) to 4,000 feet (1,200 m). It was described by them as unusual for its number of unusual morphological features, which made the placement of the species difficult.
