This article details Yorkshire County Cricket Club's 2016 season. Yorkshire participated in the County Cricket Championship, Royal London One-Day Cup and the NatWest t20 Blast. This is Yorkshire's 4th consecutive season in Division One in the County Championship after receiving promotion in 2012. Yorkshire were County Champions in 2014 and 2015, however they placed third.
The club's limited overs team is called the Yorkshire Vikings. In last season's Royal London One-Day Cup the Vikings were knocked out in the semi-final by eventual winners Gloucestershire. They also finished 8th in the North Division of the NatWest t20 Blast.

Nottinghamshire County Cricket Club is one of eighteen first-class county clubs within the domestic cricket structure of England and Wales. It represents the historic county of Nottinghamshire. The club's limited overs team is called the Notts Outlaws.
Durham County Cricket Club is one of eighteen first-class county clubs within the domestic cricket structure of England and Wales. It represents the historic county of Durham. Founded in 1882, Durham held minor status for over a century and was a prominent member of the Minor Counties Championship, winning the competition seven times. In 1992, the club joined the County Championship and the team was elevated to senior status as an official first-class team. Durham has been classified as an occasional List A team from 1964, then as a full List A team from 1992; and as a senior Twenty20 team since the format's introduction in 2003.
Leicestershire County Cricket Club is one of eighteen first-class county clubs within the domestic cricket structure of England and Wales. It represents the historic county of Leicestershire. It has also been representative of the county of Rutland. The club's limited overs team is called the Leicestershire Foxes. Founded in 1879, the club had minor county status until 1894, when it was promoted to first-class status pending its entry into the County Championship in 1895. Since then, Leicestershire have played in every top-level domestic cricket competition in England.
The 2010 Friends Provident t20 tournament was the inaugural Friends Provident t20 Twenty20 cricket competition for the England and Wales first-class counties. The competition ran from 1 June 2010 until the finals day at The Rose Bowl on 14 August 2010. The eighteen counties were split into two regions, North and South, with the top four teams from each group progressing to the quarter-final knockout stage. The competition was won by Hampshire Royals, who beat Essex Eagles in the semi-finals, and Somerset in the final, by virtue of losing fewer wickets in a tied match.
The 2014 Royal London One-Day Cup tournament was the 2014 season ECB limited overs cricket competition for the England and Wales first-class counties. It replaced the ECB 40 tournament that ran from 2010 to 2013. The number of overs per innings was increased to 50 to bring the competition in line with One Day Internationals. Unlike in the previous competition, the national teams of Scotland, the Netherlands and the Unicorns cricket team did not participate in the competition.

It was the fourth season in which the domestic T20 competition, run by the ECB, has been branded as the NatWest T20 Blast. The league consisted of the 18 first-class county teams divided into two divisions of nine teams each with fixtures played between July and September. Ahead of the final round of fixtures, 15 teams were still in a position to qualify for the quarter-finals. The finals day took place at Edgbaston Cricket Ground in Birmingham on 2 September 2017. Nottinghamshire Outlaws were the competition winners.
The 2017 Royal London One-Day Cup tournament was a limited overs cricket competition that forms part of the 2017 domestic cricket season in England and Wales. Matches were contested over 50 overs per side and had List A cricket status. All eighteen First-class counties competed in the tournament which ran from the end of April with the final taking place at Lord's on 1 July. Nottinghamshire won the tournament, defeating Surrey in the final. The defending champions were Warwickshire.

The 2022 Women's Twenty20 Cup, known for sponsorship reasons as the 2022 Vitality Women's County T20, was the 13th edition of the Women's Twenty20 Cup, an English women's cricket Twenty20 domestic competition. It took place in April and May 2022, with 35 teams taking part, organised into eight regional groups. There was no overall winner, with Lancashire, Worcestershire, Warwickshire, Suffolk, Leicestershire and Rutland, Sussex, Middlesex and Devon winning their individual groups.

It was the sixth season in which the domestic T20 competition, run by the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB), is branded as the Vitality Blast due to the tournament's sponsorship. The Hampshire Hawks were the defending champions, having won their third title during the previous season. On 30 November 2022, the ECB announced the fixtures for the tournament.
The 2023 season was Glamorgan County Cricket Club's 136th year in existence and their 102nd as a first-class cricket county. They competed in the Second Division of the County Championship, as well as Group B of the One-Day Cup and the South Group of the T20 Blast. Just two of their fourteen County Championship matches produced results, meaning they finished in fifth place in the eight-team division; meanwhile, they failed to capitalise on a good start in the T20 Blast, winning four of their first five matches before losing eight of their next nine to finish eighth out of the nine teams in the South Group. In the One-Day Cup, they failed to put together any consistent form; they won four of their eight matches, finishing in fourth place, three points behind Gloucestershire and Worcestershire in quarter-final places. Glamorgan played two 50-over matches at The Gnoll in Neath for the second year in a row, while also not returning to Penrhyn Avenue in Rhos-on-Sea for the fourth year in a row.
