A441 is an A-road in England which runs from central Birmingham to Cookhill, Worcestershire.
The A441 starts on the A4540 The Middleway in Birmingham as a non primary route, running largely parallel to the A38. It passes Calthorpe Park and the suburbs of Selly Park, Stirchley, Cotteridge, Kings Norton and West Heath before leaving the West Midlands and entering Worcestershire. The village of Alvechurch is bypassed to the East, connecting with the M42 at junction 2, [1] where there is a service station. [2] Upon entering Redditch the A441 follows new town dual carriageway roads built in the early to mid-1970s including a short concurrence with the A448 where it gains primary status. Heading Southwards out of Redditch the former road is rejoined and it passes through the village of Astwood Bank before finally terminating at a staggered junction with the A422 South of Cookhill, just short of the Warwickshire border.
Once one of the main routes between Evesham, Redditch and Birmingham, the A441 has now largely been superseded by A435 which has been upgraded to the East. Redditch was designated a new town in 1964, with this came major realignments of the major routes, including the A441, rebuilt to dual carriageway standard through the town. When the M42 was built in 1982, a link road was built from the A441 at Hopwood to a new junction East of Alvechurch. This later formed part of the Alvechurch bypass when completed in the 1990s. The final section of the road between Cookhill and Dunnington was downgraded in 1995.
The A41 is a trunk road between London and Birkenhead, England. Now in parts replaced by motorways, it passes through or near Watford, Kings Langley, Hemel Hempstead, Aylesbury, Bicester, Solihull, Birmingham, West Bromwich, Wolverhampton, Newport, Whitchurch, Chester and Ellesmere Port.
The A40 is a trunk road which runs between London and Goodwick (Fishguard), Wales, and officially called The London to Fishguard Trunk Road (A40) in all legal documents and Acts. Much of its length within England has been superseded by motorways, such as the M40, and has lost its trunk road status, though it retains it west of Gloucester, including its length within Wales. It is approximately 260 miles (420 km) long. The eastern section from Denham, Buckinghamshire to Wheatley, Oxfordshire is better served by the M40 and its former function of linking London with Cheltenham and Gloucester has been taken by the M4, A419 and A417 via Swindon.
The A38, parts of which are known as Devon Expressway, Bristol Road and Gloucester Road, is a major A-class trunk road in England.
The M42 motorway runs north east from Bromsgrove in Worcestershire to just south west of Ashby-de-la-Zouch in Leicestershire, passing Redditch, Solihull, the National Exhibition Centre (NEC) and Tamworth on the way, serving the east of the Birmingham metropolitan area. The section between the M40 and junction 4 of the M6 forms – though unsigned as such – a part of Euroroute E05. Northwards beyond junction 11, the route is continued as the A42; the junctions on this section, 12–14, are numbered like a continuation of the motorway, but the road has non-motorway status from here.
The A46 is a major A road in England. It starts east of Bath, Somerset and ends in Cleethorpes, Lincolnshire, but it does not form a continuous route. Large portions of the old road have been lost, bypassed, or replaced by motorway development. Between Leicester and Lincoln the road follows the course of the Roman Fosse Way, but between Bath and Leicester, two cities also linked by the Fosse Way, it follows a more westerly course.
Redditch is a town, and local government district, approximately 15 miles (24km) south of Birmingham city centre. Located in north-east Worcestershire, England, The district had a population of 87,036 in 2021. In the 19th century, it became the international centre for the needle and fishing tackle industry. At one point, 90% of the world's needles were manufactured in the town and its neighbourhoods. In the 1960s, it became a model for modern new town planning as the town itself was set as a commuter town for the city of Birmingham.
The A45 is a major road in England. It runs east from Birmingham past the National Exhibition Centre and the M42, then bypasses Coventry and Rugby, where it briefly merges with the M45 until it continues to Daventry. It then heads to Northampton and Wellingborough before running north of Rushden and Higham Ferrers and terminating at its junction with the A14 in Thrapston.
Bromsgrove is a local government district in Worcestershire, England. Its council is based in the town of Bromsgrove. It borders the built up area of Birmingham to the north. Other places in the district include Alvechurch, Aston Fields, Belbroughton, Catshill, Clent, Hagley, Rubery, Stoke Prior and Wythall. The current district was formed on 1 April 1974 by the merger of Bromsgrove urban district and Bromsgrove rural district. Bromsgrove forms part of the Greater Birmingham & Solihull Local Enterprise Partnership.
The A590 is a trunk road in southern Cumbria, in the north-west of England. It runs north-east to south-west from M6 junction 36, through the towns of Ulverston and Barrow-in-Furness to terminate at Biggar Bank on Walney Island. The road is a mixture of dual carriageway and single carriageway, with the section east of Low Newton, Cumbria to the M6 being mainly dual. Further dual sections are south of Newby Bridge, south of Greenodd and south of Ulverston. The road is the main route for tourists entering the southern Lake District. It has often humorously been described as "the longest cul-de-sac in the world".
The A500 is a major primary A road in Staffordshire and Cheshire, England. It is dual carriageway for most of its length and connects Nantwich, junctions 16 and 15 of the M6 motorway with the city of Stoke-on-Trent. It is 19 miles (31 km) long.
Alvechurch is a large village and civil parish in the Bromsgrove district in northeast Worcestershire, England, in the valley of the River Arrow. The Lickey Hills Country Park is 2.5 miles (4 km) to the northwest. It is 11 miles south of Birmingham, 5 mi (8 km) north of Redditch and 6 mi (10 km) east of Bromsgrove. At the 2001 Census, the population was 5,316.
The A64 is a major road in North and West Yorkshire, England, which links Leeds, York and Scarborough. The A64 starts as the A64(M) ring road motorway in Leeds, then towards York it becomes a high-quality dual carriageway until it is east of York, where it becomes a single carriageway for most of its route to Scarborough.
Known as the Hagley Road in Birmingham, the A456 is a main road in England running between Central Birmingham and Woofferton, Shropshire, south of Ludlow. Some sections of the route, for example Edgbaston near Bearwood, are also the route of the Elan Aqueduct which carries Birmingham's water supply from the Elan Valley.
The A449 is a major road in the United Kingdom. It runs north from junction 24 of the M4 motorway at Newport in South Wales to Stafford in Staffordshire.
The A453 road was formerly the main trunk road connecting the English cities of Nottingham and Birmingham. However, the middle section of this mainly single-carriageway road has largely been downgraded to B roads or unclassified roads following the construction of the parallel M42-A42 link around 1990. The M42 was originally meant to pass further north than it does, and to join the M1 at Sandiacre in Derbyshire. The M42/A42 does not enter Derbyshire, but instead joins the M1 closer to the A453 junction at Kegworth. The A42 shadows the former A453 from Appleby Magna to Castle Donington. The road historically connected the East Midlands with the West Midlands.
The A422 is an "A" road for east–west journeys in south central England, connecting the county towns of Bedford and Worcester by way of Milton Keynes, Buckingham, Banbury and Stratford-upon-Avon. For most of its length, it is a narrow single carriageway.
Cookhill is a village and civil parish in Worcestershire, England, on the county border near Alcester. It is close to a former Cistercian Priory of the same name.

The A42 is a major trunk road in the East Midlands region of the United Kingdom. It links junction 23A of the M1 motorway to junction 11 of the M42 motorway. The A42 is in effect a continuation of the M42, and its junctions are numbered accordingly.
The B4088 road is a road that runs from the crossroads with the A422 and A441 west of Alcester, Warwickshire to the A44 north of Evesham, Worcestershire, England. The road, starts at Twyford, Worcestershire and runs through the villages of Norton and Harvington, before passing into Warwickshire, Iron Cross and then Dunnington. It then turns left at the crossroads, passes through Weethley, passes back into Worcestershire and then becomes the A441 where it terminates just south of Cookhill. The road was previously the A435 between Twyford and Dunnington, where it turned left and became the A441. The road is not to be confused with the previous B4088 near Charlecote. Since it was built in 1995 the A46 dual carriageway between Evesham and Alcester now largely supersedes this road.
