The 14th Legislative Assembly of Assam constituted after the 2016 Assam Legislative Assembly elections which were concluded in April 2016, with the results being declared on 19 May 2016. [1] [2] [3]

He was also the member of the Asom Gana Parishad from 2001 to 2011.
