Elections to Buckinghamshire County Council were held on 5 May 2005, alongside the 2005 UK General Election and other local elections in England and Northern Ireland. The entire council was up for election, with each successful candidate serving a four-year term of office, expiring in 2009.

Contents

The Conservative Party remained in overall control of the council, winning 44 out of 57 seats. 11 of the remaining seats were won by the Liberal Democrats, whilst the remaining 2 were won by Labour.

Elections to the Borough Council in Slough, England, were held on 3 May 2007. One third of the council was up for election. This was the 122nd Slough general local authority election since Slough became a local government unit in 1863.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">2009 Lancashire County Council election</span>

A whole-council election to Lancashire County Council took place on 4 June 2009 as part of the 2009 United Kingdom local elections. The United Kingdom government department Department for Communities and Local Government consulted on the issue of moving the elections to the same date as the 2009 European Parliament election, which resulted in the council elections being postponed to June to coincide. 84 councillors were elected for 84 divisions by first-past-the-post' for a four-year term of office. Wards were the same as those at the previous election in 2005. Elections are held in all electoral divisions across the present ceremonial county, excepting Blackpool, and Blackburn with Darwen which are unitary authorities in a similar way to Greater Manchester and most of Merseyside.

Elections to Buckinghamshire County Council took place on 4 June 2009 as part of the 2009 United Kingdom local elections, having been delayed from 7 May, to coincide with elections to the European Parliament.

Thanet District Council elections are held every four years to elect Thanet District Council in Kent, England. Since the last boundary changes in 2003 the council has comprised 56 councillors representing 23 wards.

The 2000 Herefordshire Council election was held on 4 May 2000 to elect all councillors on Herefordshire Council.

The 2004 Milton Keynes Council election took place on 10 June 2004 to elect members of Milton Keynes Unitary Council in Buckinghamshire, England. One third of the council was up for election and the Liberal Democrats stayed in overall control of the council.

An election to Buckinghamshire County Council took place on 2 May 2013 as part of the 2013 United Kingdom local elections. 49 councillors were elected from electoral divisions which returned one county councillor each by first-past-the-post voting for a four-year term of office. Following a boundary review, the size of the council was reduced from 57 to 49 members for this election. No elections were held in Milton Keynes, which is a unitary authority outside the area covered by the County Council. The council continues to be administered on the Leader and Cabinet model. The Conservative Party won a reduced majority on the council.

The 2011 Middlesbrough Borough Council took place on Thursday 5 May 2011 to elect all 48 councillors, across 23 multi-member wards to Middlesbrough Borough Council. The Labour Party retained a majority on the council.

Elections to Herefordshire Council were held on 1 May 2003, along with other local elections in England and Scotland. Due to prior boundary reviews, all 38 wards were contested - with each ward electing either one two or three members to the council, with each successful candidate serving a four-year term of office, expiring in 2007. The council remained in no overall control, with the Conservative Party replacing the Liberal Democrats as the largest party on the council, winning 20 out of a total of 56 seats on the council.

Following a boundary review, the number of wards in the city was reduced to 34, with each electing one, two or three Councillors.
