The 2007 Speedway Conference League was the third tier/division of British speedway.
The title was won by Scunthorpe Scorpions for the second successive year. [1] [2] Scunthorpe also won the Knockout Cup, Conference Trophy and Conference League Fours. Their leading rider was Tai Woffinden who also won the Conference League Riders' Championship. [3]
The Oxford Lions took their senior side team name Oxford Cheetahs following the withdrawal of the senior side from the 2007 Elite League speedway season. In June 2007, businessman Allen Trump invested in the club (also sponsoring the club via LCD Publishing) to secure the lease on the track and the Cheetahs completed the 2007 season in the Conference League, replacing their junior side the Oxford Lions. The 2007 Conference League Knockout Cup was the tenth edition of the Knockout Cup for tier three teams. Scunthorpe Scorpions were the winners for the second successive year. [6] [7]

The Oxford Cheetahs are a British speedway team based at Oxford Stadium, in Oxford, England. They were founded in 1939 and are five times champions of Britain, in 1964, 1985, 1986, 1989 and 2001. The club folded in 2007 but returned to racing when participating in the SGB Championship 2022.
The Scunthorpe Scorpions are a motorcycle speedway team in the British SGB Championship. They have raced at various times since 1972, at three different venues.

Four new teams joined the SGB Championship in 2019 with two of them dropping down from the 2018 SGB Premiership league season these teams were Leicester Lions and Somerset Rebels with Ipswich Witches and Peterborough Panthers moving in the opposite direction. Two teams from the third tier of British speedway the National League Birmingham Brummies and Eastbourne Eagles moved up into this season's league while the Lakeside Hammers did not compete.
