<span class="mw-page-title-main">Budapest Honvéd FC</span> Sports club in Hungary

Budapest Honvéd Football Club, commonly known as Budapest Honvéd or simply Honvéd, is a Hungarian sports club based in Kispest, Budapest, with the colours of red and black. The club is best known for its football team. Honvéd means the Homeland Defence. Originally formed as Kispest AC, they became Kispest FC in 1926 before reverting to their original name in 1944.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Ferencvárosi TC</span> Hungarian football club

Ferencvárosi Torna Club, commonly known as Ferencváros, Fradi, FTC is a Hungarian professional football club based in Ferencváros, Budapest, that competes in the Nemzeti Bajnokság I, the top flight of Hungarian football. Ferencváros was founded in 1899 by Ferenc Springer and a group of local residents of Budapest's ninth district, Ferencváros. Ferencváros is best known internationally for winning the 1964–65 edition of the Inter-Cities Fairs Cup after defeating Juventus 1–0 in Turin in the final. Ferencváros also reached the final in the same competition in 1968, when they lost to Leeds United, as well as the final in the 1974–75 season of the European Cup Winners' Cup, losing to Dynamo Kyiv.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Zalaegerszegi TE</span> Hungarian football club

Zalaegerszegi Torna Egylet Football Club, commonly known as Zalaegerszegi TE, Zalaegerszeg or ZTE, is a Hungarian professional football club based in Zalaegerszeg. Zalaegerszeg has won one Hungarian League title in 2002 and one Magyar Kupa title in 2023.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Budapesti VSC</span> Sports club in Hungary

Budapesti Vasutas Sport Club-Zugló commonly known as BVSC-Zugló is a professional football club based in Zugló, Budapest, Hungary, that competes in the Nemzeti Bajnokság II. The club was founded in 1911. Its football section became closed in 2001, but has now reopened, while other sections that are still operational are table tennis, wrestling, water polo. The table tennis department won the European Cup of 1980 and several national championships.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Győri ETO FC</span> Football club

ETO FC Győr or just ETO is a Hungarian professional football club from the city of Győr. They are best known for reaching the semi-finals of the European Cup 1964-65. The club has won the Hungarian League four times. In 1904 the club was founded as Győri Vagongyár ETO and has undergone many name changes since. The colours of the club are green and white.

Anita Görbicz is a Hungarian former professional handballer who played for Győri ETO KC and the Hungary national team. She is widely regarded as one of the best handball players of all time, and was voted IHF World Player of the Year in 2005 by the International Handball Federation. Görbicz has also been given the nickname the Queen of Handball internationally.

Eduarda Idalina "Duda" Amorim Taleska is a Brazilian-Hungarian former handball player. She played most of her career in Győr as a player of Győri ETO KC, for whom she won five editions of the EHF Champions League. Amorim also played for Brazil women's national handball team for 15 years, winning the 2013 World Women's Handball Championship.

The Hungarian Tennis Championships also known as the Hungarian National Championships or the Hungarian Closed Championships is a professional tennis tournament played on outdoor clay courts. It is currently part of the official Tennis Calendar of Hungary of the Hungarian Tennis Association and is a gentlemen's and ladies' event.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Ferencvárosi TC (women's handball)</span> Hungarian handball club

Ferencvárosi Torna Club is a Hungarian professional women's handball team from Budapest, that is part of the multi-sports club Ferencvárosi TC. Nicknamed Fradi, the team plays in the Nemzeti Bajnokság I, the top level championship in Hungary. They are one of the most successful clubs in the country, having won eleven Hungarian championships and as many Hungarian cup titles. FTC also enjoy a good reputation in continental competitions: they lifted the EHF Cup Winners' Cup trophy in 1978, 2011, and 2012, and they were also crowned as the EHF Cup winners in 2006. The team also reached the finals of the EHF Champions League two times, however, they fell short in both occasions.
