The Spain men's national basketball team represents Spain in international basketball competitions. They are managed by the Spanish Basketball Federation, the governing body for basketball in Spain. Spain is the current European champion.

Amparo Baró San MartínMML was a Spanish actress. She starting working in theatres with Adolfo Marsillach. She first garnered critical and popular acclaim for her role as "Sole" in 7 Vidas. Her career spanned more than 50 years. She worked on stage, as well as in films and television.

The National Prize for Arts and Sciences is awarded annually by the Government of Mexico in six categories. It is part of the Mexican Honours System and was established in 1945. The prize is a gold medal and 520,000 pesos.

The International Latin Music Hall of Fame (ILMHF) was an annual event established in 1999 and held in New York City to honor artists who have largely contributed to the Latin music genre.

<i>The Lioness of Castille</i> 1951 film

The Lioness of Castille is a 1951 Spanish historical drama film directed by Juan de Orduña and starring Amparo Rivelles, Virgilio Teixeira and Alfredo Mayo. De Orduña had directed a number of the most expensive Spanish costume films of the era for the leading studio CIFESA. The film portrays the sixteenth century noblewoman María Pacheco, in a fictitious story that has her battling foreign agents during the reign of Charles V.
