The 2018 Cal State Fullerton Titans baseball team represented California State University, Fullerton in the 2018 NCAA Division I baseball season as a member of the Big West Conference. The team was coached by Rick Vanderhook and played their home games at Goodwin Field.

Previous season

The Titans finished 39–24 overall, and 15–9 in the conference. In the postseason, the Titans were invited and participated in the 2017 NCAA Division I baseball tournament, where they defeated BYU and Stanford twice in Stanford, California, then Long Beach State twice in Long Beach, California, and finally losing to Florida State and Oregon State in the College World Series in Omaha, Nebraska.

Sixty-four NCAA Division I college baseball teams met after having played their way through a regular season, and for some, a conference tournament, to play in the NCAA tournament. The tournament culminates with 8 teams in the College World Series at historic Rosenblatt Stadium in Omaha, Nebraska.

David Scott Serrano is an American former baseball coach and pitcher. Serrano formerly served as head coach at Cerritos College from 1984 to 1985 and at California State University, Fullerton from 1986 to 1987 for coach Augie Garrido. He served as the head coach at University of California, Irvine from 2005 to 2007, Cal State Fullerton from 2008 to 2011, the University of Tennessee from 2012 to 2017 and CSU Northridge from 2020–2022.

Led by tenth-year head coach Gene Murphy, Cal State Fullerton compiled an overall record of 6–4–1 with a mark of 5–2 in conference play, tying for second place in the Big West. The 2018–19 Cal State Fullerton Titans men's basketball team represented California State University, Fullerton in the 2018–19 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Titans were led by sixth-year head coach Dedrique Taylor and competed at the Titan Gym. CSU Fullerton was a member of the Big West Conference, and participated in their 45th consecutive season in that league. They finished the season 16–18, 10–6 in Big West play to finish in a tie for second place. On March 15, Fullerton defeated UCSB to reach the finals of the Big West tournament, where they played top-seeded UC Irvine in an attempt to reach the NCAA tournament for the second successive year; however, the Titans were handily defeated by the Anteaters, 92–64, in a rematch of the previous year's championship. They were invited to the CollegeInsider.com Tournament where they lost in the first round to Cal State Bakersfield.

The 2019 Stanford Cardinal baseball team represented Stanford University in the 2019 NCAA Division I baseball season. The Cardinal play their home games at Klein Field at Sunken Diamond under second year coach David Esquer.
