The 2019 Beijing Renhe F.C. season is Beijing Renhe's 2nd consecutive season in the Chinese Super League ever since it started back in the 2004 season and 2nd consecutive season in the top flight of Chinese football. This season Beijing Renhe participates in the Chinese Super League and Chinese FA Cup.

The 2011 Guangzhou Evergrande season is the 58th year in Guangzhou Evergrande's existence and its 44th season in the Chinese football league, also its 22nd season in the top flight. The club was promoted from China League One at the end of the 2010 season.
The 2012 Shanghai Shenhua season was Shanghai Shenhua's 9th season in the Chinese Super League and 50th overall in the Chinese top flight. They also competed in the Chinese FA Cup that year, getting knocked out of that competition.
The 2012 Tianjin Teda F.C. season was the club's 9th season in the Chinese Super League, and 44th season in China's top flight. They started the season with Josip Kuže as manager, before replacing him with Alexandre Guimarães halfway through the season. The club's name was changed from Guangzhou Evergrande F.C. to Guangzhou Evergrande Taobao F.C. before the 2015 season due to e-commerce company Alibaba Group purchasing a 50% stake in the club from the Evergrande Real Estate Group. Fabio Cannavaro was appointed as the new manager of the club after Marcello Lippi announced his retirement at the end of 2014 season. On 4 June 2015, Brazilian football manager Luiz Felipe Scolari was appointed as the new manager of club, signing a two-and-a-half-year deal.
