Gymnastics Type of sport that requires a wide variety of physical strength and flexibility

Gymnastics is a sport that includes physical exercises requiring balance, strength, flexibility, agility, coordination,dedication and endurance. The movements involved in gymnastics contribute to the development of the arms, legs, shoulders, back, chest, and abdominal muscle groups. Acrobatic gymnastics Competitive gymnastic discipline

Acrobatic gymnastics is a competitive gymnastic discipline where partnerships of gymnasts work together and perform figures consisting of acrobatic moves, dance and tumbling, set to music. There are three types of routines; a 'balance' routine where the focus is on strength, poise and flexibility; a 'dynamic' routine which includes throws, somersaults and catches, and a 'combined' routine which includes elements from both balance and dynamic.

This is a general glossary of the terms used in the sport of gymnastics.

Axl Osborne is an acrobatic gymnast. He currently competes as the base in a mixed pair with his partner Tiffani Williams. With partner Tiffani Williams, Osbourne came 2nd at the 2016 Acrobatic Gymnastics World Championships. He previously competed as the base in a Level 9 mixed pair with his partner, acrobatic gymnast Lydia Webb.

Michael Rodrigues is a retired elite acrobatic gymnast who now performs in the Cirque du Soleil show Viva ELVIS in Las Vegas, Nevada, along with his former mixed-pairs partner, retired elite acrobatic gymnast Kristin Allen.

Clare Brunson is a retired elite acrobatic gymnast who competed as the top in a mixed-pair team with elite acrobatic gymnast Michael Rodrigues, also now retired.

Marie Annonson is a retired elite acrobatic gymnast who currently owns the acrobatic gymnastics facility West Coast Training Center (WCTC) in Livermore, California.

2010 Acrobatic Gymnastics World Championships

The 2010 Acrobatic Gymnastics World Championships was the 22nd edition of acrobatic gymnastics competition and were held in Wrocław, Poland from 16 to 18 July 2010, at the Hala Orbita.

2012 Acrobatic Gymnastics World Championships

The 2012 Acrobatic Gymnastics World Championships was the 23rd edition of acrobatic gymnastics competition and were held in Lake Buena Vista, Florida, United States from April 16 to April 18, 2012. It was held at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex HP Field House.

2013 Acrobatic Gymnastics European Championships

The 26th Acrobatic Gymnastics European Championships was held in Odivelas, Portugal 16–28 October 2013.

Alice Upcott British acrobatic gymnast

Alice Upcott is a retired British female acrobatic gymnast and the sister of Edward Upcott, world champion in 2010. With Dominic Smith, she was awarded the gold medal in the 2013 World Games, the gold medal at the 2013 Acrobatic Gymnastics European Championships and the silver medal in the 2014 Acrobatic Gymnastics World Championships.

Jordan Lucella Elizabeth Chiles is an American artistic gymnast. She represented the United States at the 2020 Summer Olympics and won a silver medal in the team event. She is the 2018 Pacific Rim champion on the vault and the floor exercise and the 2018 Stuttgart World Cup bronze medalist in the all-around. She has been a member of the United States women's national gymnastics team since 2013.

Nina Derwael is a Belgian artistic gymnast. She is the 2020 Olympic champion, a two-time World champion, and a two-time European champion on the uneven bars. She is also the 2019 European Games champion on the balance beam as well as a two-time Belgian national all-around champion.

The women's pairs all-around competition at the 2017 World Games in Wrocław was played on 24 July. 12 acrobatic gymnastics competitors, from 6 nations, participated in the tournaWoment. The acrobatic gymnastics competition took place at Centennial Hall in Lower Silesian Voivodeship.

2019 Acrobatic Gymnastics European Championships

The 29th Acrobatic Gymnastics European Championships was held in Holon, Israel from October 30 to November 3, 2019. The competition took place at the Holon Toto Hall. This was the first time that Israel has hosted an acrobatic gymnastics competition at an international level.

The 12th Aerobic Gymnastics European Championships took place in Pesaro, Italy from September 17 to 19, 2021.

The 2022 Acrobatic Gymnastics World Championships was held from 10 to 13 March 2022 in Baku, Azerbaijan.
