Trampolining or trampoline gymnastics is a competitive Olympic sport in which athletes perform acrobatics while bouncing on a trampoline. In competition, these can include simple jumps in the straight, pike, tuck, or straddle position to more complex combinations of forward and/or backward somersaults and twists. Scoring is based on the difficulty and on the total seconds spent in the air. Points are deducted for bad form and horizontal displacement from the center of the bed.

The International Gymnastics Federation is the body governing competition in all disciplines of gymnastics. Its headquarters is in Lausanne, Switzerland. The Trampoline Gymnastics World Championships are the world championships for trampoline gymnastics including Double mini trampoline and Tumbling (gymnastics). They were originally held annually from 1964–1968. The frequency was switched to biennially from 1970–1998. The admission of trampolining to the Olympic Games required a switch to holding the World Championship as a qualifier in the year before the Olympics from 1999.

Three gymnastics disciplines were contested at the 2012 Olympic Games in London: artistic gymnastics, rhythmic gymnastics and trampolining. The trampoline events were held at the North Greenwich Arena from 3 to 4 August; the artistic events were also held at the North Greenwich Arena, from 28 July to 7 August. The rhythmic gymnastics events took place at Wembley Arena from 9 to 12 August.

The European Trampoline Championships is the main trampoline gymnastics championships in Europe, organized by the European Union of Gymnastics.

Gymnastics at the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo was held in three categories: artistic gymnastics, rhythmic gymnastics and trampolining. All gymnastics events were staged at the Olympic Gymnastic Centre, Tokyo in 2021.

Mikhail Ivanovich Zalomin is a Russian male trampoline gymnast. He is a 11-time World Champion, 6-time European Champion and a 6-time Russian national champion.

Tatsiana Piatrenia is a Belarusian trampoline gymnast, who has competed at four Olympic Games, with a best finish of fifth. She won the individual events at the 2017 Trampoline Gymnastics World Championships and the 2012 European Trampoline Championships.

Zhu Xueying is a Chinese trampoline gymnast and Olympic champion. At the 2017 Trampoline Gymnastics World Championships, she won gold medals in the synchro and team events. In July 2021, she won the gold medal in the women's trampoline event at the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo, Japan.

Dafne Carolina Navarro Loza is a Mexican trampoline gymnast. She is the 2018 and 2022 World synchro bronze medalist and was Mexico's first World medalist in trampoline. As an individual, she became Mexico's first Pan American Games medalist in trampoline when she won the silver medal at the 2015 Pan American Games, and she won the bronze medal at the 2019 Pan American Games. She competed at the 2020 Olympic Games, becoming the first trampoline gymnast to represent Mexico at the Olympics.

Vadim Yevgenyevich Afanasev is a Russian trampoline gymnast. He won the gold medal in the men's tumbling competition at the 2018 Trampoline Gymnastics World Championships held in Saint Petersburg, Russia. He also won the gold medal in the men's tumbling and men's team tumbling events at the 2021 European Trampoline Championships held in Sochi, Russia.
