It was organized by DreamHack with help from Valve and the Professional Gamers League. The tournament had a total prize pool of US$250,000.

MLG Counter-Strike: Global Offensive Major Championship: Columbus, also referred to as MLG Columbus 2016 was the eighth Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (CS:GO) Major Championship held by Major League Gaming (MLG) throughout March 29 to April 3, 2016, in the Nationwide Arena in Columbus, Ohio, United States. It was the first CS:GO Major in North America as well as the first run by Major League Gaming, who previously ran an exhibition CS:GO tournament at X Games Aspen 2015. The 2016 FIBA Europe 3x3 Championships was the second edition of the European 3x3 basketball event that featured separate competitions for men's and women's national teams. The 2023 UEFA European Under-21 Championship was the 24th edition of the UEFA European Under-21 Championship, the biennial international youth football championship organised by UEFA for the men's under-21 national teams of Europe. Chantal Mantz is a German table tennis player. She won European U-21 singles title in 2017. She is a member of German women's team winning gold at the 2021 European Table Tennis Championships. As of April 2023, her highest career ITTF ranking was 111.

Clubul Sportiv Municipal Victoria Carei, commonly known as Victoria Carei, is a Romanian football club based in Carei, Satu Mare County and currently playing in the Liga III, the third tier of the Romanian football league system, following their promotion from the Liga IV – Satu Mare County in the 2021–22 season. Founded in 1923 Victoria Carei played sixteen seasons in Liga II and thirty-seven seasons in Liga III. Their highest league finish is third, in the 1935–36 season of Divizia B.
