The 2021 FC Tucson season was the eleventh season in the soccer team's history and their third in USL League One. On February 18, 2021, Phoenix Rising FC transferred ownership of FC Tucson to Benevolent Sports Tucson LLC, led by Rising co-owner Brett Johnson. [1] [2]

The 2019 FC Tucson season was the club's eighth season of existence and their first full professional season in USL League One. They previously played in the Premier Development League and won four divisional titles.
The 2020 Tormenta FC season was the club's fifth season of existence, and their second season as a professional club. It was their second season playing in the third tier of American soccer and their second season playing in USL League One (USL1). The 2020 North Texas SC season was the second season in the soccer team's history, where they competed in the third division of American soccer, USL League One. North Texas SC, as a child club of FC Dallas of Major League Soccer, were barred from participating in the 2020 U.S. Open Cup. North Texas SC played their first two home games at Toyota Stadium in Frisco, Texas, United States, and their remaining home games at Globe Life Park in Arlington, Texas.
The 2020 Orlando City B season was the club's fourth season of existence and their second since returning from hiatus during the 2018 season. It was their second season as a founding member of USL League One, the third tier of the United States soccer pyramid, after moving from the second tier in the restructuring. Union Omaha finished the regular season in second place to qualify for the USL League One final to take place against Greenville Triumph, however the game was canceled due to an outbreak of COVID-19 on the Union Omaha roster. Greenville were awarded the title as a result of finishing with the highest points per game average during the regular season.

Union Omaha played the majority of their home games at Werner Park, located in Papillion, Nebraska, United States, with one game played at Creighton University's Morrison Stadium.
The 2021 Toronto FC II season was the seventh season in the club's history and sixth in play. The club returned to competition in USL League One after withdrawing from the 2020 season due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Due to COVID-19 travel restrictions in Canada, Toronto FC II would begin the season playing home matches in the United States, playing their first three home matches at Grande Sports World in Casa Grande, Arizona before relocating to Osceola Heritage Park in Kissimmee, Florida. They were able to return to playing home matches in Toronto on July 30.

This will be the club's first season in their new stadium, Optim Health System Field, after spending previous seasons at Eagle Field on the campus of Georgia Southern University.
