The 2022 PSA Women's World Squash Championship is the 2022 women's edition of the World Squash Championships, which served as the individual world championship for squash players. The event takes place in Cairo, Egypt from 13 to 22 May 2022. It will be the third time that Cairo host the PSA World Championships after 2014 and 2019–20 editions. [1]
PSA also awards points towards World Ranking. Points are awarded as follows:

Raneem Mohamed Yasser Saad El Din El Welily is a former professional squash player from Egypt. She reached a career-high world ranking of No. 1 in September 2015. She is a three-time finalist at the World Open, in 2014, 2016, and 2019-2020. She became the World Champion in 2017, after defeating her compatriot Nour El Sherbini in the finals.
Mohamed El Shorbagy is an Egyptian-English professional squash player. He represented Egypt from a young age until June 2022, when he switched to represent England. He reached a career-high world ranking of World No. 1 in November 2014, March 2018, February 2020, and again in July 2021 and was the 2017 World Squash champion.
Nour El Sherbini is an Egyptian professional squash player. She is currently ranked as the world No. 1 in women's singles by the Women's Squash Association (WSA), having held the position for a total of 43 weeks. Nour, the only player representing Egypt in the list of most winner in all time of PSA Women's World Championship. And The Most Egyptian Player to win a Major series title, has won the British Open four times and the US Open once. Nour has won 40 titles, including the PSA Finals Twice.
The AJ Bell 2013 Men's World Open Squash Championship is the men's edition of the 2013 World Championship, which serves as the individual world championship for squash players. The event took place in Manchester in England from 26 October to 3 November 2013. Nick Matthew won his third World Championship title, defeating Grégory Gaultier in the final.
Ali Amr Farag is an Egyptian professional squash player. He is the 2018–19, 2020–21, 2021–22 and 2022–23 World Champion. He has a highest career world ranking of world No. 1 by the Professional Squash Association (PSA).
