2024 D1 Grand Prix Series is the 24th season of D1 Grand Prix drifting competition set to be started in May 10 at Okuibuki Motorpark and ended between November 10 at Odaiba. The series is run by Sunpros under Japanese Automobile Federation (JAF) official semi-national competition format. The competition will be held as JAF Japan Drift Championship as drifting category is added to Japan Championship by JAF. [1]
Hideyuki Fujino is the defending champion in both Overall and Single run championship. [2]

For this season the tires of the car had to be inside the clipping point as opposed to only body parts in previous season. This is to prevent teams and drivers fitting an overly extended parts on the car.

Ken Nomura is a drifting driver from Japan. He made his debut in the D1 Grand Prix in the 3rd round in 2001, driving the Blitz D1 Spec ER34 Skyline which he still drives. His nickname is Nomuken (のむけん) or Monkey Magic.
The D1 Grand Prix, abbreviated as D1GP and subtitled Professional Drift, is a production car drifting series from Japan. After several years of hosting amateur drifting contests, Daijiro Inada, founder of Option magazine and Tokyo Auto Salon, and drifting legend, Keiichi Tsuchiya hosted a professional level drifting contest in 1999 and 2000 to feed on the ever increasing skills of drifting drivers who were dominating drifting contests in various parts of Japan. In October 2000, they reformed the contest as a five-round series. In the following year for the following round, the introduction of the two car tsuiou battle, run in a single-elimination tournament format, a common tradition for tōge races which became popular with car enthusiasts.
Nobuteru Taniguchi is a Japanese racing driver and drifting driver who currently competes in the Super GT racing series. Taniguchi is commonly nicknamed "NOB" or "The Pimp" as a reference to his S15 Silvia which he is best known for.

Masao Suenaga is a Japanese professional drifting driver, currently competing in the D1 Grand Prix series for D-MAX. He is the younger brother of Naoto who both were taught by Nobushige Kumakubo.
Daigo Saito is a Japanese professional drifting driver, currently competing in the D1 Grand Prix series and Formula Drift Japan. He formerly competed in Formula DRIFT USA and World Championship series for Achilles Radial. He was the first driver to win the two drifting majors, D1GP in 2008 and Formula D in 2012.

Naoki Nakamura is a professional Japanese drifter. He competes in the D1GP and won the series in 2021. He won its feeder series, D1 Street Legal, 3 times. He is known for his close tandem drifting.
2023 Gran Turismo D1 Grand Prix series is the 23rd season of D1 Grand Prix. Started in May 13 in Okuibuki Motorpark and finished at Odaiba in November 12.
