This will be king Charles first Dissolution Honours List, the last being the 2019 Dissolution Honours List issued by Queen Elizabeth II.
In June 2024, the Financial Times reported that Jamie Dimon and Eric Schmidt were to receive an honour in this list. [1] Sky News also reported that Harriet Harman hoped to be awarded a peerage. [2] The Times reported Theresa May would be given a peerage. [3] The Guardian and the Telegraph subsequently reported that Margaret Beckett, Margaret Hodge, Harman and Sharon White were all tipped for a peerage in the honours list, as well as Thangam Debbonaire, if she were to lose her seat, among "dozens of labour peers". Harman latterly was MP for Camberwell and Peckham from 1997 to 2024, and previously was MP for Peckham from 1982 to 1997.
