The 2024 Monte Carlo Rally (also known as the 92e Rallye Automobile Monte-Carlo) was a motor racing event for rally cars held over four days from 25 to 28 January 2024. [2] It marked the ninety-second running of the Monte Carlo Rally, and was the first round of the 2024 World Rally Championship, World Rally Championship-2 and World Rally Championship-3. The 2024 event was be based in Gap, Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur in France and consisted of seventeen special stages, covering a total competitive distance of 324.44 km (201.60 mi). [1]

Contents

Sébastien Ogier and Vincent Landais were the defending rally winners, and Toyota Gazoo Racing WRT were the manufacturer's winners. [3] Yohan Rossel and Arnaud Dunand were the defending rally winners in the WRC-2 category. [4]

Thierry Neuville and Martijn Wydaeghe won the rally. Their team, Hyundai Shell Mobis WRT, were the manufacturer's winners. [5] Rossel and Dunand successfully defended their titles in the WRC-2 category. [6] Jan Černý and Ondřej Krajča are the winners in the WRC-3 category.

Entry list

The following crews entered into the rally. The event was opened to crews competing in the World Rally Championship, its support categories, the World Rally Championship-2 and World Rally Championship-3, and privateer entries that were not registered to score points in any championship. Eight entered under Rally1 regulations, as were twenty-two Rally2 crews in the World Rally Championship-2 and three Rally3 crews in the World Rally Championship-3. [7]

The 2015 World Rally Championship was the 43rd season of the World Rally Championship, a rallying championship recognised by the Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile as the highest class of international rallying. Teams and drivers contest thirteen rallies across four continents, competing for the FIA World Rally Championships for Drivers and Manufacturers. The WRC-2, WRC-3 and Junior WRC championships are run in support of the premier championship.

The championship began in January 2024 with the Monte Carlo Rally and would conclude in November 2024 with the Rally Japan. The series is supported by the World Rally Championship-2 and World Rally Championship-3 categories at every round of the championship and by the Junior World Rally Championship at selected events.

The 2024 FIA World Rally Championship-2 is the twelfth season of the World Rally Championship-2, an auto racing championship for rally cars that is recognised by the Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile as the second-highest tier of international rallying. The category is open to cars entered by teams and complying with Group Rally2. The championship began in January 2024 with the Monte Carlo Rally and will conclude in November 2024 with the Rally Japan, and runs in support of the 2024 World Rally Championship.
