The Ford Fiesta Rally3 is a rally car developed and built by M-Sport to FIA Group Rally3 regulations for use at tier 3 of the FIA Rally Pyramid. [2] It is based upon the Ford Fiesta road car and debuted in 2021. [3]
The car was debuted by Estonian driver Ken Torn at SM O.K. Auto-Ralli in Finland, finishing eleventh overall. [4] The car made its WRC debut at the 2021 Croatia Rally with Zoltan Laszlo behind the wheel. [5]
The Fiesta Rally3 made its WRC return during 2021 Rally Estonia, driven by Extreme E regular Molly Taylor with Sebastian Marshall co-driving. The crew crashed out on SS5. [6]
Since 2022, the car is used as the selected vehicle for the Junior WRC Championship. It was the only car in the Rally3 class until 2023 when the Renault Clio Rally3 was homologated by the FIA. [7]

The World Rally Championship is an international rallying series owned and governed by the FIA. Inaugurated in 1973, it is the second oldest of the FIA's world championships after Formula One. Each season lasts one calendar year, and separate championship titles are awarded to drivers, co-drivers and manufacturers. There are also two support championships, WRC2 and WRC3, which are contested on the same events and stages as the WRC, but with progressively lower maximum performance and running costs of the cars permitted. Junior WRC is also contested on five events of the World Rally Championship calendar.

The championship was contested over four selected WRC rounds with the winning crew awarded a new Ford Fiesta R5 car, 200 tyres, free registration into the 2021 WRC3 Championship and five free rally entries. The championship offered an additional prize of €15,000 to the highest-placed rookie driver to fund a drive in the 2021 Junior WRC Championship.
