The 2026 West Surrey Council election is due to take place on 7 May 2026 to elect the inaugural members to the newly-created West Surrey Council in England, with the transition to the new council expected by April 2027. [4] [5]

The election will have 45 wards, with redrawn boundaries but unchanged in number from the 45 West Surrey wards elected in the 2021 Surrey County Council election. However, they will be two-member wards rather than one-member as on Surrey County Council. [6]
