The 2015 Spelthorne Borough Council election took place on 7 May 2015 to elect all members of Spelthorne Borough Council in England as one of the 2015 local elections, held simultaneously with the General Election. [1] [2] [3] [4]

Counting three intermittent by-elections (resulting in a Conservative gain and hold and a Liberal Democrat hold) and five defections from the governing party group in the 2011-2015 period (Cllrs Budd, D. Grant, Forsbrey, Rough and Sexton) the results saw these net changes: [3]

<span class="mw-page-title-main">The Avenue</span>

The Avenue was a rugby union stadium and training pitches in Sunbury-on-Thames that belonged to the English club London Irish since 1931 when the team bought its 11 acres (4.5 ha). The team moved one season to the Stoop Memorial Ground thereafter to Madjeski Stadium, from 2000. For 14 more years the club kept The Avenue as its training and pre-season friendlies ground as well as Aviva A League matches. In 2014 the club began to train at its replacement, larger Hazlewood facility in the same town, including its Academy and hosting international training when Twickenham stadium hosts such tournaments and the grounds were converted to landscaped suburban housing, a sports/leisure club and care home.

The 2019 Spelthorne Borough Council election took place on 2 May 2019 to elect all members of Spelthorne Borough Council in England. The Conservatives retained control of the council, but with a reduced majority of 7, down from 31.
