The 2015 Selby District Council election took place on 7 May 2015 to elect members of the Selby District Council in England. [1] It was held on the same day as other local elections.

North Yorkshire Council is the unitary authority which governs the non-metropolitan county of North Yorkshire, within the larger ceremonial county of North Yorkshire, in England. North Yorkshire was a two-tier non-metropolitan county from 1974 to 2023, when North Yorkshire Council was a county council called North Yorkshire County Council. On 1 April 2023 the seven lower-tier districts of the county were abolished and their functions taken over by the new unitary authority.

Elections to City of York Council were held in 2003. The whole council was up for election. Boundary changes had reduced the number of seats from 53 to 47.

North Yorkshire Council elections are generally held every four years. From 1974 until 2023 the council was called North Yorkshire County Council and it was an upper tier county council, with district-level functions being provided by the area's district councils. The districts were all abolished with effect from 1 April 2023, at which point the county council became a unitary authority, taking on the functions of the abolished district councils. The county council changed its name to North Yorkshire Council to coincide with the change in its powers.

The 2015 South Kesteven District Council election took place on 7 May 2015 to elect members of South Kesteven District Council in Lincolnshire, England. The whole council was up for election after boundary changes reduced the number of seats by two. The Conservative party stayed in overall control of the council.

Elections to the new City of York unitary authority were held on 4 May 1995, although the new unitary authority wasn't officially created until April 1996. All 53 council seats in the city were up for election and the Labour Party won overall control of the council.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">2019 Selby District Council election</span>

The 2019 Selby District Council election was held on 2 May 2019 to elect members of Selby District Council in England. It was the final election to the authority before its dissolution in 2023, and subsequent subsumption into the unitary North Yorkshire Council.
