The 2015 Gloucester City Council election took place on 7 May 2015 to elect members of Gloucester City Council in England. [1] Eleven of the 36 seats on the council were up for election, being a nominal third of the council. This was the last year of Gloucester electing its council by thirds, with elections from 2016 onwards being whole council elections every four years instead. [2] The 2015 election was held on the same day as other local elections. The Conservatives gained two seats, giving them control of the council, which had previously been under no overall control. Paul James, the Conservative leader, continued to serve as leader of the council, but with his party having a majority. [3]

The 2014 Gloucester City Council election took place on 22 May 2014 to elect members of Gloucester City Council in England. This was on the same day as other local elections. Fifteen of the 36 seats on the council were up for election, representing a nominal third of the council. No seats changed party, and so the council remained under no overall control, with the Conservatives having exactly half the seats on the council. The Conservative leader, Paul James, continued to serve as leader of the council after the election.

Elections to Broxtowe Borough Council were held on 7 May 2015 to elect all 44 members to the Councils 20 electoral wards each electing between 1 and 3 members who will each serve a 4-year term expiring in 2019.

It took place on the same day as other district council elections in Wales and England. The Conservative Party regained control of the council from the Labour Party.

The 2008 Gloucester City Council election took place on 1 May 2008 to elect members of Gloucester City Council in England. Twelve of the 36 seats on the council were up for election, ten of which were the usual nominal third of the council. The other two were by-elections, being one in Barnwood ward and the other in Barton and Tredworth ward. The council remained under no overall control. Paul James continued to serve as leader of the council after the election, leading a minority Conservative administration.

The 2004 Gloucester City Council election took place on 10 June 2004 to elect members of Gloucester City Council in England. Ten of the 36 seats on the council were up for election, representing a nominal "third" of the council; there were no elections for Kingsholm and Wotton, Podsmead, Quedgeley Fieldcourt, Quedgeley Severn Vale or Westgate wards in 2004. The council remained under no overall control. Prior to the election the Labour and Liberal Democrats groups had been running a joint administration, with Mary Smith of Labour being the leader of the council. After the election, a Conservative minority administration was formed instead, with Mark Hawthorne becoming leader of the council.

The 2022 United Kingdom local elections took place on Thursday 5 May 2022. These included elections for all London borough councils, for all local authorities in Wales and Scotland. Most seats in England were last up for election in 2018 and in Scotland and Wales in 2017. The elections coincided with the 2022 Northern Ireland Assembly election.
