The Regional Municipality of York, also called York Region, is a regional municipality in Southern Ontario, Canada, between Lake Simcoe and Toronto. It replaced the former York County in 1971, and is part of the Greater Toronto Area and the inner ring of the Golden Horseshoe. The regional government is headquartered in Newmarket.

Nsawam is a town in south Ghana and is the capital of the Akuapim South Municipal District, a district in the Eastern Region of south Ghana. The main ethnic group is Akan, followed by Ga and then Ewe. Nsawam is controlled by Akuapim South Municipal District (ASMD). As of 2013, Nsawam has a settlement population of 44,522 people. Nsawam is situated on the main railway between Accra and Kumasi and highway to Kumasi. It has Densu river acting as a border between itself and Adoagyiri. Densu River, is the main source of water for both domestic and industrial purposes for people in and around Nsawam.
The Eastern Region is located in south Ghana and is one of the sixteen administrative regions of Ghana. Eastern region is bordered to the east by the Lake Volta, to the north by Bono East Region and Ashanti region, to the west by Ashanti region, to the south by Central region and Greater Accra Region. The capital town of Eastern Region is Koforidua.The Eastern region is the location of the Akosombo dam and the economy of the Eastern region is dominated by its high-capacity electricity generation. Eastern region covers an area of 19,323 square kilometres, which is about 8.1% of Ghana's total landform.
Akuapim North Municipal District is one of the thirty-three districts in Eastern Region, Ghana. Originally created as an ordinary district assembly in 1988 from the former Akuapim District; until it was elevated to municipal district assembly status on 15 March 2012. Later in 2017, part of the district was split off to create Okere District. The municipality is located in the southeast part of Eastern Region and has Akropong as its capital town.
New Juaben Municipal District is a former district that was located in Eastern Region, Ghana. Originally created as a municipal district assembly in 1988. However on 2017, it was split out into two new districts: New Juaben North Municipal District and New Juaben South Municipal District. The municipality was located in the central part of Eastern Region and had Koforidua as its capital town.
Suhum-Kraboa-Coaltar District is a former district in Eastern Region, Ghana. Originally created as an ordinary district assembly in 1988. Later on 28 June 2012, part of the district would be split off to become Ayensuano District; while it was upgraded to municipal district assembly status and renamed as Suhum Municipal District in that same year. The district assembly was located in the southern part of Eastern Region and had Suhum as its capital town.
Yilo Krobo Municipal District is one of the thirty-three districts in Eastern Region, Ghana. Originally created as an ordinary district assembly in 1988 when it was known as Yilo Krobo District, after it was created from the former Kaoga District. Later, it was elevated to municipal district assembly status on 6 February 2012. The municipality is located in the eastern part of Eastern Region and has Somanya as its capital town.
Akropong is a town in South Ghana and is the capital of the Akuapim North District, a district in the Eastern Region of South Ghana. This town is known for producing snails and palm oil. Akropong has a 2013 settlement population of 13,785 people.
Birim Central Municipal District is one of the thirty-three districts in Eastern Region, Ghana. Originally created as an ordinary district assembly in 1988 when it was known as the first Birim South District after splitting off from the former Birim District until 2008, when part of the district was split out to become a new Birim South District; thus the remaining original part has been renamed as Birim Central Municipal District as it was upgraded to municipal assembly status in that same year. Later, part of the district was split off to become Asene Manso Akroso District in 2017. The municipality is located in the southwest part of Eastern Region and has Akim Oda as its capital town.
Ga East Municipal District is one of the twenty-nine districts in Greater Accra Region, Ghana. Originally it was formerly part of the then-larger Ga District in 1988, until part of the district was split off to create Ga East District in 2004; thus the remaining original part was renamed as Ga West District. It was later upgraded to municipal district assembly status on 29 February 2008. Another part of the district was split off to become the La Nkwantanang Madina Municipal District on 28 June 2012. The municipality is located in the western part of Greater Accra Region and has Abokobi as its capital town.

La Nkwantanang Madina Municipal District is one of the twenty-nine districts in Greater Accra Region, Ghana. Originally it was formerly part of the then-larger Ga East District in 2004, until part of the district was split off to create La Nkwantanang Madina Municipal District on 28 June 2012, which was established by Legislative Instrument (L.I.) 2131. The municipality is located in the western part of Greater Accra Region and has Madina as its capital town.
Akwapim South is one of the constituencies represented in the Parliament of Ghana. It elects one Member of Parliament (MP) by the first past the post system of election. Akwapim South used to be known as the Aburi-Nsawam constituency until it was divided in 2012 which gave us Akwapim South and Nsawam Adoagyiri constituencies.
Nsawam Adoagyire Municipal District is one of the thirty-three districts in Eastern Region, Ghana. Originally created as an ordinary district assembly in 1988 when it was known as the first variation of Akuapim South Municipal District until 6 February 2012, when part of the district was split out to become a new Akuapim South District; thus the original remaining part has been renamed as Nsawam Adoagyire Municipal District. The municipality is located in the southeast part of Eastern Region and has Nsawam as its capital town.
Kpone Katamanso Municipal District is one of the twenty-nine districts in Greater Accra Region, Ghana. Originally it was formerly part of the then-larger Tema Metropolis District on 1988, until a small portion of the district was split off to become Kpone Katamanso District on 28 June 2012; which was established by Legislative Instrument (L.I.) 2031. It was later upgraded to municipal district assembly status on 15 March 2018; which was established by Legislative Instrument (L.I.) 2271. The municipality is located in the central part of Greater Accra Region and has Kpone as its capital town.
