The Basketball League Belgium is a governing body for basketball in Belgium. It directs the ten professional Belgian basketball sports clubs of the top-tier Basketball League Belgium Division I.

The Belgian Basketball Supercup, also called the Generali Supercup for sponsorship reasons, is a men’s professional basketball game in Belgium, which is played by the champion of the Basketball League Belgium Division I and the winner of the Belgian Basketball Cup. It is a super cup competition. The game is played in Knokke.

Kangoeroes Basket Mechelen, also known as Kangoeroes or Kangoeroes Mechelen, is a basketball club based in Mechelen, Belgium. Founded in 2009, the club plays in the BNXT League. Kangoeroes have been playing in the top tier division in Belgium for 10 years, since 2013.

The Basketball League Belgium Division I Coach of the Year is an annual Basketball League Belgium Division I award given to the best coach of the league. The award is handed out after the end of the regular season.

The 2017–18 Belgian Basketball Cup was the 64th edition of the national cup competition for men's basketball in Belgium. The season started on 26 September 2017 and ended on 11 March 2018 with the final. Oostende won its sixth straight cup title.
