The Ivorian Basketball Championship is the premier basketball league for clubs in Ivory Coast. The league consist out of ten teams. The most notable team in the league's history is ABC Fighters, who won 21 titles.
The champions of the national championship are eligible to play in the qualifying rounds of the Basketball Africa League (BAL).

Abidjan is the largest city and the economic capital of the Ivory Coast. AfroBasket 2011 was the 26th FIBA Africa Championship, played under the auspices of the Fédération Internationale de Basketball, the basketball sport governing body, and the African zone thereof.
