Bigger Township is one of eleven townships in Jennings County, Indiana, United States. As of the 2020 census, its population was 664 (down from 726 at 2010 [1] ) and it contained 272 housing units. [2]

Bigger Township was created in 1840 from Vernon Township, and named for Samuel Bigger, seventh Governor of Indiana. [4]
Benville Bridge was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1996. [5]
According to the 2010 census, the township has a total area of 30.74 square miles (79.6 km2), of which 30.69 square miles (79.5 km2) (or 99.84%) is land and 0.05 square miles (0.13 km2) (or 0.16%) is water. [1]
Bigger Township comprises 30 square-mile sections: 24 from survey township Township 6 North, Range 9 East, Second Principal Meridian; and 6 from Township 6 North, Range 10 East, Second Principal Meridian.
The township contains three cemeteries: Bethel, Callicotte and Hughes.
