Robert Turner (born May 6, 1949) is an American football coach who is the running backs coach for the San Francisco 49ers of the National Football League (NFL).He previously served as an assistant coach for the Atlanta Falcons, Washington Redskins and Denver Broncos.
Early in his coaching days, Turner worked as an assistant football and basketball coach at Kokomo, Indiana's Haworth High School from 1972–74.
He moved to the college ranks in 1975, working for the Indiana State University football program in various roles until 1982.
In 1983, he went to Fresno State University, where he was the team's running backs coach through 1988. One of the players he coached was future coach Kelly Skipper.
In his final collegiate coaching stop before moving to the NFL, Turner served as assistant head coach, offensive coordinator and running backs coach at Purdue University from 1991–94. While at Purdue, he would coach RB Mike Alstott.
Turner was the running backs coach at Ohio State University from 1989–90; in this period, the Buckeyes reached bowl games in both seasons and had the top rushing game in the Big Ten Conference in 1989.In 1990, he would coach running backs Robert Smith, Butler By'not'e, and Raymont Harris.
In 2010, he was hired to be the running backs coach by his former colleague, Mike Shanahan, after Mike was selected to be the new head coach of the Washington Redskins.Before this, he held the same position in Denver from 1995–2009; he also worked for 20 years as a college assistant and has over 40 combined years of coaching experience at the professional, collegiate and high school levels. On February 3, 2015, Dan Quinn announced that Turner would be his Running Backs coach.
In the 2016 season, Turner and the Falcons reached Super Bowl LI, where they faced the New England Patriots on February 5, 2017. In the Super Bowl, the Falcons fell in a 34–28 overtime defeat.
Turner grew up in East Chicago, Indiana and graduated from Indiana State University.He attended East Chicago Washington High, where he was a multi-sport athlete. He played basketball for the legendary Indiana High School coach, Johnnie Baratto.

Duane Charles "Bill" Parcells, also known as "the Big Tuna", is a former American football coach who was a head coach in the National Football League (NFL) for 19 seasons. He rose to prominence as the head coach of the New York Giants, which he led to two Super Bowl titles. Michael Edward Shanahan is a former American football coach, best known as the head coach of the Denver Broncos of the National Football League (NFL) from 1995 to 2008. During his 14 seasons with the Broncos, he led the team to consecutive Super Bowl victories in XXXII and XXXIII, including the franchise's first NFL title in the former. His head coaching career spanned a total of 20 seasons and also included stints with the Los Angeles Raiders and Washington Redskins. He is the father of San Francisco 49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan.

He played college football for The University of Memphis and transferred to Arkansas State University. Brown was drafted by the St. Louis Cardinals in the eighth round of the 1986 NFL Draft. He also played for the Washington Redskins, San Francisco 49ers, and Detroit Lions over 20 seasons.
Joshua Thomas McDaniels is an American football coach who is the offensive coordinator of the New England Patriots of the National Football League (NFL). He has been an assistant coach in New England for 17 non-consecutive seasons, beginning his career with the team in 2001, and has served as offensive coordinator for 13 non-consecutive seasons. In between his tenure with the Patriots, he served as the head coach of the Denver Broncos for two seasons.
Kyle Michael Shanahan is an American football coach who is the head coach of the San Francisco 49ers of the National Football League (NFL). He previously served as the offensive coordinator for the Atlanta Falcons, Cleveland Browns, Washington Redskins and Houston Texans. With the Falcons in 2016, he coordinated an offense that led the league in points scored and helped the team reach Super Bowl LI. Shanahan was hired as the head coach by the 49ers in 2017, replacing Chip Kelly. In his third season with the team, Shanahan led the 49ers to a Super Bowl appearance in Super Bowl LIV.

Robert Michael Ninkovich is a former American football outside linebacker who played eleven seasons in National Football League (NFL). He played college football at Purdue as a defensive end and was drafted by the New Orleans Saints in the fifth round of the 2006 NFL Draft. He also played for the Miami Dolphins and New England Patriots, winning two Super Bowls with the latter. After eight seasons with the Patriots, Ninkovich announced his retirement from the NFL following 2016.

Daniel Patrick Quinn is an American football coach who is the defensive coordinator for the Dallas Cowboys of the National Football League (NFL). He came to prominence as the defensive coordinator of the Seattle Seahawks from 2013 to 2014 where he was the playcaller for the team's Legion of Boom secondary. Under Quinn, Seattle led the league in defense and made two Super Bowl appearances for consecutive seasons, winning the franchise's first in Super Bowl XLVIII. This success led to Quinn being named head coach of the Atlanta Falcons, where he served for six seasons.

He was the assistant head coach and co-defensive coordinator at Indiana University from 2011-2013. He has previously held defensive coordinator positions at Western Kentucky University, Louisiana State University and the University of New Mexico. Mallory also played college football as a defensive back at Michigan from 1984 to 1987.
