Robert Turner Jr. (born May 6, 1949) is an American football running backs coach. From 1995 until 2021, he worked exclusively on the staffs of Mike Shanahan during his time with the Denver Broncos and Washington Redskins and then his son Kyle with the Atlanta Falcons and San Francisco 49ers.
Early in his coaching days, Turner worked as an assistant football and basketball coach at Kokomo, Indiana's Haworth High School from 1972–74.
He moved to the college ranks in 1975, working for the Indiana State University football program in various roles until 1982.
In 1983, he went to Fresno State University, where he was the team's running backs coach through 1988. One of the players he coached was future coach Kelly Skipper.
In his final collegiate coaching stop before moving to the NFL, Turner served as assistant head coach, offensive coordinator and running backs coach at Purdue University from 1991–94. While at Purdue, he would coach RB Mike Alstott.
Turner was the running backs coach at Ohio State University from 1989–90; in this period, the Buckeyes reached bowl games in both seasons and had the top rushing game in the Big Ten Conference in 1989.In 1990, he would coach running backs Robert Smith, Butler By'not'e, and Raymont Harris.
From 1995–2009 Turner worked as the running backs coach for the Denver Broncos.This was after over 20 years as a college assistant.
In 2010, he was hired to be the running backs coach by his former colleague, Mike Shanahan, after Mike was selected to be the new head coach of the Washington Redskins.
On February 3, 2015, Dan Quinn announced that Turner would be his Running Backs coach.
In the 2016 season, Turner and the Falcons reached Super Bowl LI, where they faced the New England Patriots on February 5, 2017. In the Super Bowl, the Falcons fell in a 34–28 overtime defeat.
In 2017 Turner became the running backs coach for the 49ers.
On March 1st, 2022 it was reported that Turner was not returning to the San Francisco 49ers for the 2022 season to rehab from two surgeries. Turner has returned for the 2022 season.
Turner grew up in East Chicago, Indiana and attended EC's Washington High School, where he was a multi-sport athlete. He played basketball for Johnnie Baratto. He graduated from Indiana State University.
William Ernest Walsh was an American professional and college football coach. He served as head coach of the San Francisco 49ers and the Stanford Cardinal, during which time he popularized the West Coast offense. After retiring from the 49ers, Walsh worked as a sports broadcaster for several years and then returned as head coach at Stanford for three seasons.

Michael Edward Shanahan is a former American football coach, best known as the head coach of the Denver Broncos of the National Football League (NFL) from 1995 to 2008. During his fourteen seasons with the Broncos, he led the team to two consecutive Super Bowl victories in XXXII and XXXIII, including the franchise's first NFL title in the former. His head coaching career spanned a total of twenty seasons and also included stints with the Los Angeles Raiders and Washington Redskins. He is the father of San Francisco 49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan.
Brian David Griese is an American football coach and former quarterback who is the quarterbacks coach for the San Francisco 49ers of the National Football League (NFL). He was drafted by the Denver Broncos in the third round of the 1998 NFL Draft. He played high school football at Christopher Columbus High School and later college football at Michigan.
Rubin Andre Carter is an American football coach recently for Louisiana State University and former player in the National Football League (NFL). A defensive end, he played college football for the University of California, and was a unanimous All-American. The San Francisco 49ers selected him with the seventh overall pick in the 2001 NFL Draft, and he also played for the Washington Redskins, New England Patriots and Oakland Raiders.
Norval Turner is an American football coach in the National Football League (NFL). An offensive assistant for the majority of his coaching career, he came to prominence as the Dallas Cowboys' offensive coordinator during their consecutive Super Bowls victories in Super Bowl XXVII and Super Bowl XXVIII. In addition to his assistant coaching, Turner served as the head coach of the Washington Redskins from 1994 to 2000, the Oakland Raiders from 2004 to 2005, and the San Diego Chargers from 2007 to 2012. Turner compiled 118 wins during his head coaching tenure, which are the most for an NFL head coach with a losing record. He is also the only NFL head coach with 100 wins to have a losing record.
Daniel Edward Reeves was an American football running back and coach in the National Football League (NFL). During his 38 years in the NFL, Reeves participated in nine Super Bowls, the third most for an individual. He was a head coach for 23 seasons, a position he held with the Denver Broncos from 1981 to 1992, the New York Giants from 1993 to 1996, and the Atlanta Falcons from 1997 to 2003. As a player, he spent his eight-season career with the Dallas Cowboys, who signed him as an undrafted free agent in 1965.
Gary Wayne Kubiak is a former American football coach and quarterback. He served as head coach for the NFL's Houston Texans from 2006 to 2013 and the Denver Broncos from 2015 to 2016 before stepping down from the position on January 1, 2017, citing health reasons. Earlier in his coaching career, he served as an assistant coach for the Broncos, Texas A&M University and San Francisco 49ers. He was also the offensive coordinator for the Baltimore Ravens in 2014. He last served as the assistant head coach and offensive coordinator for the Minnesota Vikings in 2020.

He last served as the offensive line coach for the Arizona Cardinals of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football for The University of Memphis and transferred to Arkansas State University. Brown was drafted by the St. Louis Cardinals in the eighth round of the 1986 NFL Draft. He also played for the Washington Redskins, San Francisco 49ers, and Detroit Lions over 20 seasons.
Joshua Thomas McDaniels is an American football coach who is the head coach for the Las Vegas Raiders of the National Football League (NFL). He began his NFL career in 2001 with the New England Patriots, where he served as the offensive coordinator for 14 non-consecutive seasons. During McDaniels' first stint as offensive coordinator from 2006 to 2008, New England set the record for points scored, and in 2007, became the first team in NFL history to win all 16 regular season games. In his second stint from 2012 to 2021, the Patriots won three Super Bowl titles in Super Bowl XLIX, Super Bowl LI, and Super Bowl LIII. McDaniels was also among the Patriots personnel to be present for all six of their titles during the Brady–Belichick era.
Kyle Michael Shanahan is an American football coach who is the head coach of the San Francisco 49ers of the National Football League (NFL). He previously served as the offensive coordinator for the Atlanta Falcons, Cleveland Browns, Washington Commanders and Houston Texans. With the Falcons in 2016, Shanahan coordinated an offense that led the league in points scored and helped the team reach Super Bowl LI. He was hired in 2017 as the head coach by the 49ers, whom he led to an appearance in Super Bowl LIV.
Gregory Fishbeck Knapp was an American professional football coach in the National Football League (NFL). He served as an assistant coach for 25 seasons with the New York Jets, Atlanta Falcons, Denver Broncos, Oakland Raiders, Houston Texans, Seattle Seahawks and San Francisco 49ers. He played college football and later coached at California State University, Sacramento.
Raheem Morris is an American football coach who is the defensive coordinator for the Los Angeles Rams of the National Football League (NFL). He previously served as head coach for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers from 2009 to 2011 and interim head coach for the Atlanta Falcons in 2020. Morris also was an assistant coach for the Falcons, Washington Redskins, and the Buccaneers.

Michael Lee McDaniel is an American football coach who is the head coach of the Miami Dolphins of the National Football League (NFL). A former long-time assistant to Mike and Kyle Shanahan, McDaniel began his NFL coaching career as an intern for the Denver Broncos in 2005. As an offensive-minded coach for much of his 17-year coaching career, McDaniel has served as an assistant coach for the Houston Texans, Washington Redskins, Cleveland Browns, Atlanta Falcons, and San Francisco 49ers from 2017 to 2021, holding his first offensive coordinator position in 2021. McDaniel has appeared in two Super Bowls, one each with the Falcons in 2017 and with the 49ers in 2020.
Leonard Hankerson Jr. is a former American football wide receiver that played five seasons in the National Football League. He is currently the wide receivers coach for the San Francisco 49ers. He played college football at the University of Miami, and was drafted by the Washington Redskins in the third round of the 2011 NFL Draft. Hankerson has also played for the Atlanta Falcons, New England Patriots, and Buffalo Bills.
Daniel Patrick Quinn is an American football coach who is the defensive coordinator for the Dallas Cowboys of the National Football League (NFL). He came to prominence as the defensive coordinator of the Seattle Seahawks from 2013 to 2014, where he was the playcaller for the team's Legion of Boom secondary. Under Quinn, Seattle led the league in defense and made two consecutive Super Bowl appearances, winning the franchise's first in Super Bowl XLVIII. This success led to Quinn being named head coach of the Atlanta Falcons, where he served for six seasons.

He played college football at South Dakota and was drafted by the Washington Redskins in the sixth round of the 2012 NFL Draft. Compton has also played for the Atlanta Falcons, Chicago Bears, Minnesota Vikings, New York Jets, and San Francisco 49ers.
Nick Williams is a former American football wide receiver. He played college football at Connecticut. He was signed by the Washington Redskins as an undrafted free agent during the 2013 offseason.
