Candy is the sixth extended play (EP) by South Korean boy band NCT Dream. It was released digitally on December 16,2022,and physically on December 19,2022,by SM Entertainment through Dreamus. Marketed as a special winter mini-album,the EP consists of six Christmas-themed tracks,including its lead single of the same name,originally released by H.O.T. in 1996.
NCT Dream released their second studio album, Glitch Mode ,in March 2022,followed shortly afterwards by its reissue, Beatbox . [1] [2] It became their second release to sell more than 3 million copies after Hot Sauce (2021). [3] The album charted at number one on the Gaon Album Chart in South Korea, [4] while in the United States it was their first entry on the Billboard 200,charting at number 50. In support of the release,they embarked on their third concert tour,The Dream Show 2:In A Dream,in September 2022,visiting South Korea and Japan. [3] [2] A concert film,NCT Dream The Movie:In A Dream,documenting their opening concert held in Seoul was released in theaters in November. [5] That same month,the group announced they would release their first Japanese single,"Best Friend Ever",in February 2023. [6]
The EP includes six Christmas-themed tracks. [7] [8] "Tangerine Love (Favorite)" is described as a retro song featuring "funky" analog synthesizers. "Take My Breath" is described as a mid-tempo pop song,with lyrics about a "shy" confession. [8] [9] "Moon" is described as a ballad song led by a piano melody. [10] "Walk with You" is described as a dance pop song that follows the same storyline of the group's 2017 track "Walk You Home" from their first EP We Young . [11] "Graduation" is described as a R&B song that harmonizes the vocals with the strings. [12] It was highlighted as the standout track of the EP by Jeff Benjamin of Billboard . [13]
NCT Dream first hinted at a new release during an Instagram live broadcast on November 17. [7] The next day,SM Entertainment released a teaser video clip featuring snow falling on an illustrated house named after NCT Dream covered in Christmas-themed decorations,including bows,mini Christmas trees,candy canes and peppermints. [2] [5] It served to announce the group's sixth extended play (EP),Candy,titled after its lead single of the same name,originally released by H.O.T. for their debut studio album We Hate All Kinds of Violence (1996). [7] On November 21,it became available for pre-order in both online and offline stores. [3] Winter themed teaser images of the members wearing colorful outfits reminiscent of H.O.T.'s stage costumes were released on December 2, [14] and were followed by individual teaser images of the members,released from December 4 to December 9. [15] [12] Marketed as a special winter mini-album,the EP was released digitally on December 16 and physically on December 19. [7]
NCT Dream performed "Candy" alongside their previous single "Glitch Mode" at the 2022 KBS Song Festival on the same day of release. [16] The group performed "Candy" and "Graduation" on South Korean music show Show! Music Core on December 17. [17] NCT Dream held a live broadcast on social media platforms YouTube and TikTok to commemorate the release on December 19. [18] On December 21,the group performed all of the album's tracks at their fan meeting held at Peace Hall,Kyung Hee University,hosted by H.O.T.'s member Kangta. Three pop-up stores were opened in Seongsu-dong,Hongdae and Yeonhui-dong on December 20. [21] Fans reportedly queued from dawn on the day of the opening and formed lines of over 3,000 people in front of each store to get the exclusive photo cards sold with the EP. [22]
Despite being a special mini-album,Candy achieved 2 million pre-orders,according to SM Entertainment. [23] The EP debuted at number 28 on the Billboard Japan Japanese Hot Albums in the chart issue dated December 21,2022, [24] and two weeks later it peaked at number two. [25] It debuted at number eight on the Oricon Digital Albums in the chart issue dated December 26,2022. [26]

Glitch Mode is the second studio album by South Korean boy band NCT Dream, released on March 28, 2022, by SM Entertainment through Dreamus. Following their previous album Hot Sauce and its repackaged version Hello Future, Glitch Mode is NCT Dream's second record to feature seven members after Mark's return to the lineup and the termination of their age-based graduation system. The repackaged version of the album, Beatbox, features four new tracks, including the lead single of the same name, and was released on May 30.
"Candy" (Korean: 캔디) is a song recorded by South Korean boy group H.O.T., released as part of the group's debut studio album We Hate All Kinds of Violence through SM Entertainment on September 7, 1996. Along with "Warrior's Descendant", it serves as one of the two singles from the record. "Candy" is a "cheerful" bubblegum pop dance number, and was written and produced by Jang Yong-jin.
NCT Dream is the third sub-unit of the South Korean boy band NCT, formed by SM Entertainment in 2016. They were initially intended to be the teenaged unit of NCT with an admission-and-graduation system, in which members would leave after reaching age of majority, prior to re-branding in 2020. The sub-unit debuted on August 25, 2016, with the single "Chewing Gum" and a lineup of seven members—Mark, Renjun, Jeno, Haechan, Jaemin, Chenle, and Jisung—whose average age was 15.6 years old. In late 2018, the group's leader, Mark, graduated from NCT Dream but returned in 2020 when the group began promoting as a fixed seven-member group.
South Korean boy band NCT Dream have released three studio albums, two reissues, one live album, five extended plays, one single album, and fifteen singles. We Boom is the third extended play of South Korean–Chinese boy band NCT Dream, the third and teen-aged sub-unit of the South Korean boy band NCT. Released by SM Entertainment and Dreamus digitally on July 26, 2019, and later physically three days later, the EP consists of six tracks, and is the first release of the unit to not contain any Mandarin version for the lead single. SM founder Lee Soo-man continued as the release's executive producer, while several songwriters and producers, such as Ryan S. Reload is the fifth extended play (EP) by South Korean boy band NCT Dream, the third sub-unit of the South Korean boy band NCT. It was released on April 29, 2020, by SM Entertainment and distributed by Dreamus. It marked the group's last record as a six-member unit following the termination of the age-based graduation system that was operated in the group. The album contains five songs including the lead single "Ridin'". Musically, the album incorporates several genres including trap, pop, hip hop, R&B and EDM. A music video for the lead single "Ridin'" was released to accompany the album release.
Hot Sauce is the first studio album by South Korean boy band NCT Dream, the third sub-unit of the South Korean boy band NCT. It was released on May 10, 2021, through SM Entertainment. Following their previous EP, Reload, this album marks NCT Dream's first release to feature back as a seven-member unit following the return of Mark from the termination of the age-based graduation system that was operated in the group. Hot Sauce is one of the best-selling albums in South Korea.

Universe is the third studio album and ninth album overall by South Korean boy band NCT. It was released on December 14, 2021, by SM Entertainment. Similar to their previous releases NCT 2018 Empathy and NCT 2020 Resonance, NCT 2021 Universe is part of "NCT 2021" project; which saw all current NCT members from several units collaborating on a full-length release. This time, the album features 21 out of 23 members from three current units of NCT; NCT 127, NCT Dream, and WayV. Members Lucas and Winwin were unable to participate. Universe is NCT's final album to feature Shotaro and Sungchan, who both withdrew from the group in May 2023.
Oddinary is the sixth extended play and ninth overall recorded by South Korean boy band Stray Kids. It was released on March 18, 2022, through JYP Entertainment and Republic Records, seven months after the band's second studio album Noeasy (2021). The EP is Stray Kids' first release on Republic Records, which they signed in February 2022. A blend of "odd" and "ordinary", Oddinary represents "all of us who have something odd about ourselves" and the concept "odd things will soon become ordinary".
"Glitch Mode" is a song that was recorded by South Korean boy group NCT Dream. It was released as the lead single from their second studio album Glitch Mode (2022) on March 28, 2022, alongside an accompanying music video. The song was written by NCT Dream's member Mark and Yoo Jae-eun and was composed by Sam SZND alongside Benjamin 55 and Alony 55, who also worked on the arrangement.
