The Landsborough Highway runs past the western extremity, near Augathella. [3]

History

The locality was named and bounded on 28 March 2002. [2] It is presumably named after the ford across the Warrego River known as Caroline Crossing ( 25°37′00″S146°45′00″E / 25.6166°S 146.75°E / -25.6166; 146.75 (Caroline Crossing) ). [4] [5]

In the 2016 census, Caroline Crossing had a population of 13 people. [6]
