China Railway Chengdu Group,officially abbreviated as CR Chengdu or CR-Chengdu,formerly,Chengdu Railway Administration is a subsidiaries company under the jurisdiction of the China Railway (formerly the Ministry of Railway). The railway administration was reorganized as a company in November 2017. [1]
It is in charge of 9 primary railway routes,with operating length of 4,457.8 kilometers. It oversees the railway networks in Sichuan,Chongqing,Guizhou,although the portion of Nanning-Kunming railway in Guizhou is administered by Kunming Railway Administration.
The Xiangyang–Chongqing railway or Xiangyu railway (襄渝铁路),also known as the Xiangfan-Chongqing railway and Xiangyu line (襄渝线),is a single-track electrified railroad in central China between the cities of Xiangyang,formerly known as Xiangfan,and Chongqing. The short form name for Chongqing is Yu (渝) and the railway is named after the two cities. It has a total length of 895.3 km and passes through Hubei,Shaanxi and Sichuan province,and Chongqing municipality. Major cities along route include Shiyan,Ankang,Dazhou and Guang'an.
Chengdu East or Chengdudong railway station is a railway station in Chenghua District,Chengdu,the capital of Sichuan province,serving the Chengdu–Chongqing intercity railway,the Chengdu–Guiyang high-speed railway,the Dazhou–Chengdu railway and Xi'an–Chengdu high-speed railway. It is connected to Chengdu Metro Line 2 and Line 7.
Chengdu–Chongqing railway or Chengyu railway,is a single-track electrified railroad in the Sichuan Basin of Southwest China between the cities Chengdu and Chongqing. Chongqing's short form name is Yu (渝) and the railway is named after the two cities. The line has a total length of 505 km (314 mi).
The Baoji–Chengdu railway or Baocheng railway,is a mixed single- and double-track,electrified,railroad in China between Baoji in Shaanxi province and Chengdu in Sichuan province. The Baocheng Line is the main railway connection between the northern/northwestern and southwestern China. The line has a total length of 668.2 km and passes through mostly mountainous terrain in southern Shaanxi,eastern Gansu and northern Sichuan. It opened in 1961 as the first rail outlet from Sichuan,and in 1975 became the first railway in China to be electrified. Other cities along route include Mianyang,Guangyuan,Guanghan and Lueyang.
Xi'an–Chengdu high-speed railway or Xi'an-Chengdu Passenger Dedicated Line,is a dual-track,electrified,high-speed rail line in Western China between Xi'an and Chengdu,respectively the provincial capitals of Shaanxi and Sichuan. This line,which commenced operations on 6 December 2017,runs 510 km (320 mi) through Shaanxi and Sichuan provinces and accommodates trains traveling at speeds up to 250 km/h (160 mph). Travel time between the two provincial capitals was reduced from 16 to less than three hours.
The Chengdu–Chongqing intercity railway is a 307-kilometre (191 mi) long high-speed railway that connects the cities of Chengdu (Sichuan) and Chongqing in southwestern China,with a maximum speed of 350 km/h (220 mph). The route passes through most of the same cities that the older Chengdu–Chongqing Railway does,but is significantly shorter due to the greater use of elevated sections and tunnels. The line includes four major elevated sections and two tunnels.
Chongqing–Huaihua railway or Yuhuai railway,is a single-track,electrified railroad in southwest China between Chongqing Municipality and Huaihua in Hunan Province. The line is 624.5 km (388 mi) long and was built between 2000 and 2005. Cities and towns along route include Changshou,Fuling,Wulong,Pengshui,Qianjiang,Youyang Tujia and Miao Autonomous County,Xiushan,Songtao in Chongqing Municipality,Tongren in Guizhou Province and Huaihua in Hunan Province.
The Chengdu–Kunming railway or Chengkun railway,is a major trunkline railroad in southwestern China between Chengdu,the capital of Sichuan Province and Kunming,the capital of Yunnan Province. The line is 1,134 km (705 mi) long and traverses rugged terrain from the Sichuan Basin to the Yunnan-Guizhou Plateau. The line was built between 1958 and 1970,with much of the work coming during the Third Front campaign to develop industry in China's interior. Major cities along route include Chengdu,Pengshan,Jiajiang,Emei,Ebian,Ganluo,Xide,Xichang,Dechang,Miyi and Panzhihua in Sichuan Province and Yuanmou,Lufeng,Anning and Kunming in Yunnan Province.
The Neijiang–Kunming railway or Neikun railway,is a single-track railroad between Neijiang and Kunming in Southwest China. The line runs 872 km (542 mi) from Neijiang in Sichuan province to Kunming in Yunnan province through western Guizhou province. The Neikun Line was built in three sections. The northern section,from Neijiang to Anbian township of Yibin and 140 km (87 mi) in length,was built from 1956 to 1960. The southern section from Kunming to Meihuashan station,near Liupanshui in Guizhou,and 370 km (230 mi) in length,was built from 1960 to 1965 and became the westernmost segment of the Guiyang-Kunming railway. The middle section between Anbian and Meihuashan through Zhaotong and 358 km (222 mi) in length was built from 1998 to 2001. Major cities and towns along route include Neijiang,Zigong,Yibin,Shuifu,Zhaotong,Weining County,Xuanwei,Qujing and Kunming.

The shorthand name for the line,Chuanqian,is derived from the shorthand names of Sichuan Province,to which Chongqing once belonged,and Guizhou.

The Second Chengdu–Chongqing high-speed railway is a 292-kilometre (181 mi) long high-speed rail line that connects the cities of Chengdu and Chongqing in southwestern China,with a maximum speed of 350 km/h (220 mph). It will head via Lezhi,Anyue,and Dazu. Construction started on September 26,2021 and it is expected to open in 2027.
The Chengdu–Dazhou–Wanzhou high-speed railway or Chengdawan HSR is a high-speed railway currently under construction in China. This line forms part of the Shanghai–Chongqing–Chengdu high-speed railway.
