The Asian Football Confederation (AFC) is the governing body of association football, beach soccer, and futsal in most countries/territories in Asia. It has 47 members. The Asian Ladies Football Confederation (ALFC) was the section of AFC who managed women's association football in Asia. The group was independently founded in April 1968 in a meeting involving Taiwan, Hong Kong, Malaysia and Singapore. In 1986 ALFC merged with AFC.
The Comoros national football team represents the Comoros in international football and is controlled by the Comoros Football Federation. It was formed in 1979, joined the Confederation of African Football (CAF) in 2003, and became a FIFA member in 2005. Comoros qualified for their first major tournament in 2021, after their 0–0 draw with Togo assured them of a place in the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations.

It is one of the strongest teams in Europe, champions in the 2003 UEFA Futsal Championship and UEFA Futsal Euro 2014. Italy has also come in second place at the 2004 FIFA Futsal World Cup, as well as third place in the 2008 and 2012 editions.

The United Arab Emirates national beach soccer team represents United Arab Emirates in beach soccer. They are one of the most successful Asian national teams, having won twice the AFC Beach Soccer Asian Cup. At the FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup, however, they have never got past the group stage. The UAE team has participated in every edition of the Beach Soccer Intercontinental Cup, which was founded after the 2009 FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup was hosted in the United Arab Emirates and which is played only in the UAE,They will host it once again as for the second time in 2023.
The Japan national under-17 football team is a national association football youth team of Japan and is controlled by the Japan Football Association. The team were champions in the 1994 and 2006 AFC U-17 Championships, as well as the 2012 AFF U-16 Youth Championship. The year before the FIFA U-17 World Cup, the national team is renamed the Japan national under-16 football team, and the year before that, the national team is renamed the Japan national under-15 football team.

As of October 2023, Iraq is ranked 43rd in the Futsal World Rankings. Iraq has played in eleven AFC Futsal Championships. Its best result was fourth place in 2018. Iraq has also played at three WAFF Futsal Championships where in 2009, they won the tournament to gain their first ever title on any international stage. Iraq also played three times at the Arab Futsal Cup, finishing as runners-up in the 2022 edition.

The Indonesia national futsal team represents Indonesia in international futsal competitions. Indonesia has played fourteen times at the AFF Futsal Championship and nine times at the AFC Futsal Asian Cup. The team never participates in any World Cup but has won the AFF Futsal Championship only once in 2010. While under the ultimate control of Indonesia's football governing body, PSSI, the one who regulates the activities of the national futsal team is the Indonesia Futsal Federation—futsal governing body of Indonesia and a member association of PSSI.
