Cowles is a village in Webster County, Nebraska, United States. The population was 30 at the 2010 census.
Cowles was platted in 1878 when the railroad was extended to that point. [4] [5] It was named for railroad official W. D. Cowles. [6] [7] A post office was established in Cowles in 1879, and remained in operation until it was discontinued in 1960. [8]
According to the United States Census Bureau, the village has a total area of 0.56 square miles (1.45 km2), all land. [9]
