In the 1950 U.S. Census and 1960 U.S. Census, the census recognized the unincorporated place of Hebardville which was roughly coterminous with Deenwood. [13] [14] In the 1970 U.S. Census, the unincorporated community was renamed Deenwood and designated a CDP in 1980 U.S. Census. [16]
