Pitbull Starring in Rebelution is the fourth studio album by the Cuban-American rapper Pitbull. It was released on August 28, 2009, through J, Polo Grounds and Mr. 305. The production on the album was handled by multiple producers including DJ Khalil, Dr. Luke, Lil Jon, Play-N-Skillz and Jim Jonsin who also served as executive producer. The album also features guest appearances by B.o.B, Ke$ha, Nayer, Akon, Lil Jon and Slim of 112. This became his first major-label release, his first album to be released on his own Mr. 305 Inc. label and also Polo Grounds' second release since Hurricane Chris's 51/50 Ratchet.

Their image revolves around the South African counterculture movement known as zef and has incorporated work by other artists associated with the movement, such as photographer Roger Ballen.

The production on the album was handled by a variety of pop and hip hop producers including David Guetta, RedOne, Dr. Luke, Jim Jonsin, Benny Blanco, Soulshock, Afrojack, DJ Snake and Polow da Don. The album also features guest appearances by Ne-Yo, Afrojack, Nayer, Marc Anthony, T-Pain, Enrique Iglesias, Sean Paul, Chris Brown, Kelly Rowland, Jamie Drastik, Redfoo, Jamie Foxx, David Guetta, Akon, DJ Frank E, Ludacris, Nelly, Machel Montano and more. The album was created with the goal that every song on the album could serve as one single. The album is influenced by Pitbull's childhood years listening to merengue, freestyle, cha-cha-cha, Miami bass, hip hop and dancehall.

<i>Sale el Sol</i> 2010 studio album by Shakira

Sale el Sol is the ninth studio album by Colombian singer and songwriter Shakira, released on 19 October 2010, by Epic Records. The album marks a return to Shakira's signature Latin pop sound after the electropop record She Wolf (2009). The singer split the album into three musical "directions": a romantic side, a "rock and roll" side, and a "Latino, tropical" side. The latter two "directions" experiment with rock and merengue music, respectively. As co-producer, Shakira enlisted collaborators including Josh Abraham, El Cata, Gustavo Cerati, John Hill, Lester Mendez, Pitbull, and Residente from Calle 13.

<i>$O$</i> 2010 studio album by Die Antwoord

$O$ is the debut studio album by South African rap-rave group Die Antwoord. The album was initially a widely circulated internet-only release, and made available to stream for free on the band's website prior to Interscope Records signing the band. The song "Wat Pomp?" had a music video released on 6 June 2009, followed by "Enter the Ninja", which received an official release on 9 August 2010. "Fish Paste" and "Beat Boy" have also been released as promotional singles. "Enter the Ninja" debuted at #37 in the UK Music Charts on 19 September 2010.

"Rabiosa" is a song by Dominican singer El Cata. It achieved mainstream success when Colombian singer Shakira covered it on her ninth studio album Sale el Sol. It was written by Armando Pérez, Edward Bello, and Shakira, and released by Epic Records as the third single from the album, on 8 April 2011. Two versions of the song exist; the English-language version, which features American artist Pitbull, and the Spanish-language version, which features El Cata. It is heavily influenced by merengue and dance music. Shakira and El Cata, or Pitbull, sing about each other's sex appeal in the song.

The album was released on Die Antwoord's label Zef Recordz after leaving their previous label Interscope due to pressure on Die Antwoord to become "more generic". The album debuted at number 20 on the Billboard Dance/Electronic Albums chart.

"Fatty Boom Boom" is a song by South African hip hop group Die Antwoord from their second studio album Ten$Ion. The song was written by DJ Hi-Tek, Ninja, and Yolandi Visser. The song's chorus is an interpolation of Carl Malcolm's 1975 reggae single "Hey Fattie Bum Bum". The term derives from Jamaican Patois and remains commonly used in Jamaica since emerging in the late seventies.

Chappie is a 2015 American dystopian science fiction action film directed by Neill Blomkamp and written by Blomkamp and Terri Tatchell. It stars Sharlto Copley, Dev Patel, Hugh Jackman, Ninja, Yolandi Visser, Jose Pablo Cantillo, and Sigourney Weaver. The film, set and shot in Johannesburg, is about an artificial general intelligence law enforcement robot captured and taught by gangsters, who nickname it Chappie.

It is the official song of the 2014 FIFA World Cup held in Brazil and features guest vocals from American singer Jennifer Lopez and Brazilian singer Claudia Leitte. The artists co-wrote the song with Sia, RedOne, Danny Mercer, Dr. Luke, Cirkut, and Thomas Troelsen; the latter three are also the producers.
