Dove (sold as Galaxy in the UK, Ireland, the Middle East, India and Australia) is an American brand of chocolate owned and manufactured by Mars. Dove produces a wide range of chocolate candies, as well as other chocolate products such as milks, cakes and ice creams.
The name comes from Dove Candies & Ice Cream, which were Chicago-based candy and ice cream shops owned by Leo Stefanos, a Greek-American in 1939. [1] In 1956, Stefanos created the Dove brand of ice cream bars, which were only sold locally throughout Chicago until 1985 when distribution began in selected cities around the country. [2] In 1986, the company was acquired by Mars, Incorporated. [3]
Dove chocolate bars were launched in test markets in the US in 1991. [4]
Beginning in 1960, Dove chocolate was originally sold under the Galaxy brand name in the UK. [5]
Dove produces a wide range of chocolates including milk chocolate, dark chocolate, caramel, fruits, nuts, Minstrels, Ripple (milk chocolate with a folded or "rippled" milk chocolate center), Amicelli, Duetto, Promises, Bubbles, and Truffle. Related brands in other parts of the world include "Jewels", and "Senzi" in the Middle East.[ citation needed ] Dove also produces other chocolate products including ready-to-drink chocolate milk, hot chocolate powder, chocolate cakes, ice cream and more. Dove is known for the messages written on the inside of the foil wrapper of each individual chocolate piece. [6]

Celebrations is a miniature chocolate bar collection made by Mars, Incorporated, launched in 1997. It comprises miniature versions of full size Mars brands. Celebrations have the tagline "Share the joy", and were one of the first mixed box of chocolates in the United Kingdom to bring together confectionery which had been already released in one box or tin instead of introducing new, especially-created confectionery made exclusively for the UK market, by a major producer. Celebrations boxes are now sold in multiple countries which tend to have the same brands as the UK, but do differ in some circumstances. Twix does not come in Australian celebrations for example.

3 Musketeers is a candy bar made in the United States and Canada by Mars, Incorporated. It is a candy bar consisting of chocolate-covered, fluffy, whipped nougat. It is similar to the global Milky Way bar as well as the American version of the Milky Way bar.

Quality Street is a line of tinned and boxed toffees, chocolates and sweets, first manufactured in 1936 by Mackintosh's in Halifax, West Yorkshire, England. It was named after J. M. Barrie's play Quality Street. Since 1988, the confectionery has been produced by Nestlé. Quality Street has long been a competitor to Cadbury Roses, which were launched by Cadbury in 1938. Nestlé does not distribute Quality Street in the US, but it may be ordered online for delivery, or found in specialty candy shops.
Dove Bar is an American ice cream bar, created by Leo Stefanos at Dove Candies & Ice Cream on 60th Street and Pulaski Avenue in Chicago in 1956 and introduced nationally in 1984. The brand, including Dove chocolate as well as the ice cream, was bought by Mars Inc. in 1986, and the Dove Bar today is made by Mars.
