Dover is a town in Buffalo County in the U.S. state of Wisconsin. The population was 486 at the 2010 census. [3] The unincorporated community of Lookout is located in the town.
Dover is located in northeastern Buffalo County and is bordered by Trempealeau County to the east. According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 36.2 square miles (93.8 km2), of which 0.031 square miles (0.08 km2), or 0.09%, is water. [3]
As of the census [2] of 2000, there were 484 people, 145 households, and 122 families residing in the town. The population density was 13.4 people per square mile (5.2/km2). There were 156 housing units at an average density of 4.3 per square mile (1.7/km2). The racial makeup of the town was 97.93% White and 2.07% Asian. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 0.21% of the population.
There were 145 households, out of which 44.8% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 75.9% were married couples living together, 5.5% had a female householder with no husband present, and 15.2% were non-families. 13.1% of all households were made up of individuals, and 6.2% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 3.34 and the average family size was 3.68.
