Funen County is a former county in central Denmark, comprising the islands of Funen, Langeland, Tåsinge, Ærø, and approximately 90 other islands, of which only 25 are inhabited. The county was formed on 1 April 1970, comprising the former counties of Odense and Svendborg. The county was abolished from 1 January 2007, when it merged into Region of Southern Denmark.
Assens is a town with a population of 6,001 on the west coast of the island of Funen on the eastern side of the Little Belt in central Denmark. By road, Assens is located 41.2 kilometres (25.6 mi) southwest of Odense, 34 kilometres (21 mi) northwest of Faaborg, and 33.34 kilometres (20.72 mi) southeast of Middelfart. Assens is the municipal seat of Assens Municipality in Region of Southern Denmark. It was the birthplace of sculptor Jens Adolf Jerichau who married the well-known portraitist Elisabeth Jerichau-Baumann; both artists' works are exhibited at the local art museum, Vestfyns Kunstmuseum.

Middelfart is a town in central Denmark, with a population of 16,528 as of January 2024. The town is the municipal seat of Middelfart Municipality on the island of Funen.
Billund Municipality is a kommune in the centre of the Jutland Peninsula in Denmark. Formerly the municipality belonged to Ribe County. The new, merged municipality covers an area of 540.18 km², and has a total population of 27,119 (2024). Its mayor is Stephanie Storbank, a member of Venstre political party. The site of its municipal council is the town of Grindsted, which is the largest town in the municipality followed by the city of Billund.
Køge Municipality is a kommune in the Region Sjælland on the east coast of the island of Zealand approx. 40 km southwest of Copenhagen. The municipality covers an area of 255 km², and has a total population of 62,848 (2024). Until January 2007, its mayor was Torben Hansen, a member of the Social Democrats (Socialdemokraterne) political party, who died while still in office. He was replaced by Marie Stærke, who at age 27 was Denmark's youngest mayor at that time.

The municipality included the island of Brandsø, covered an area of 163 km2, and had a total population of 10,046 (2005). Its last mayor was Claus Hansen, a member of the Venstre political party. The main town and the site of its municipal council was the town of Ejby.

The main town and the site of its municipal council is the town of Middelfart.
Until 1 January 2007 Nørre Aaby municipality was a municipality in the former Funen County on the north and west coasts of the island of Funen in southern Denmark. The municipality covered an area of 65 km2, and had a total population of 5,626 (2006). Its last mayor was Hanne Christensen, a member of the Venstre political party. The main town and the site of its municipal council was the town of Nørre Aaby. To the north are the waters of Båring Cove and beyond that the Kattegat. To the west are the waters of Fem's Cove and beyond that the Little Belt.

The municipality covers an area of 640 km2, and has a total population of 94,932 (2024). Its mayor is Knud Erik Langhoff, a member of the Conservative People's Party. The main city and the site of its municipal council is the seaport city of Kolding, the eighth largest city in Denmark.

Nørre Aaby is a town in central Denmark, located in Middelfart Municipality on the island of Funen. Until Kommunalreformen it was the site of the municipal council of the now former Nørre Aaby Municipality.
Ejby is a town in Køge Municipality, with a population of 3,130, on the Danish island of Zealand. The town is located about 8 kilometres/5 miles west of the town of Køge.
Fænø is a small Danish island in the Little Belt off the west coast of Funen in Middelfart Municipality. With an area of 3.9 km2, as of 1 January 2010 it has a population of just 2. Reaching a height of 39 metres above sea level at its highest point, the island is privately owned. Fænøgård, which used to be the island's farm, has now been completely rebuilt in an architecturally modern style. It caters for private parties and has residential facilities. The island is separated from Funen by the 500-meter-wide Fænø Sund and can be reached by private ferry.

Gelsted is a small town and parish in northwestern Funen, Denmark. Gelsted is located roughly halfway between Ejby and Aarup, 28 kilometers west of Odense. The parish is located in Middelfart Municipality, and a small portion is located in Assens Municipality, within the Region of Southern Denmark. 1 January 2024 the town had a population of 1,723 and the parish had a population of 2,312. Gelsted Church is located on the northwestern outskirts of the town.
Brenderup is a town located on the island of Funen in south Denmark, in Middelfart Municipality.
The 1926 FBUs Pokalturnering was the 7th edition of the regional tournament, FBUs Pokalturnering, the highest senior cup competition organised by the Funen FA (FBU). The tournament was held in the third quarter of 1926 with B 1913 as the defending cup champions. The season was launched on 8 August 1926 with the preliminary round involving two matches involving Ejby BK versus Dalum BK and Assens G&IK versus AIK Bogense, while Bogense G&IF and Arbejdernes I&BK (AIB) of Middelfart both received a bye to the next round. A total of eighteen teams from the 1925–26 FBUs A-række, the 1925–26 FBUs B-række and three new member clubs of the regional football association participated in the cup tournament, which embraced seventeen cup matches — the reigning Funen champions Svendborg BK from the top-flight league choose not to participate in this year's edition.
