Elida is a town in Roosevelt County, New Mexico, United States. The population was 197 at the 2010 census.
In 2023, the FW1 Ute Reservoir pipeline project started construction to provide potable water by 2030 for Cannon Air Force Base and the communities of Clovis, Portales, Elida, and Texico. [4]

As of the census [6] of 2000, there were 183 people, 76 households, and 50 families residing in the town. The population density was 227.9 inhabitants per square mile (88.0/km2). There were 98 housing units at an average density of 122.0 per square mile (47.1/km2). The racial makeup of the town was 90.71% White, 9.29% from other races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 27.32% of the population.
There were 76 households, out of which 34.2% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 53.9% were married couples living together, 9.2% had a female householder with no husband present, and 32.9% were non-families. 30.3% of all households were made up of individuals, and 11.8% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.41 and the average family size was 3.02.
