Samson Gwede Mantashe is a South African politician and former trade unionist who is currently serving as the Minister of Mineral Resources and Energy. He was Minister of Mineral Resources from February 2018 to May 2019,when his current portfolio was created. He is also serving his second term as the national chairperson of the African National Congress (ANC).
Lynne Brown is a South African politician who is a former Minister of Public Enterprises and former Premier of the Western Cape Province. She was born in Cape Town and grew up in Mitchells Plain. She was appointed Premier of the Western Cape following the resignation of Ebrahim Rasool in July 2008. Previously,she was Minister for Economic Development and Tourism. She is a member of the African National Congress (ANC) and an elected member of its National Executive Committee in 2007 and 2012. She is from a coloured background and was the fourth coloured premier of the Western Cape,the second from the ANC,and the first openly gay person to be appointed to a cabinet post in any African government.
Hlaudi Motsoeneng is the leader of African Content Movement (ACM) who served as the acting Chief operating officer of the South African Broadcasting Corporation (SABC) from 2011 to 2013. Motsoeneng was removed from his position as Chief operating officer after it had been found that he lied about his qualifications. After being removed as acting Chief operating officer it was announced that Motsoeneng would move back to his previous position as Group Executive Editor of Provinces and Corporate Affairs of the SABC. In December 2016,the Western Cape High Court ruled that Motsoeneng's appointment as Group Executive was illegal and that he was "not entitled to occupy any position at the SABC". In June 2022 the state capture commission proposed criminal investigations into possible contraventions of the Public Finance Management Act when group CEO Lulama Mokhobo and COO Motsoeneng concluded an SABC agreement with the Gupta owned TNA newspaper. In July 2022 the High Court dismissed Motsoeneng's bid to appeal the repayment,with interest,of R11.5 million obtained unlawfully when the SABC concluded a deal with MultiChoice.
Stella Tembisa Ndabeni-Abrahams is a South African politician who is currently serving as the Minister of Small Business Development since 5 August 2021. She previously served as Minister of Communications and Digital Technologies from November 2018 to August 2021. She is a member of the African National Congress (ANC).
Kopeng Obed Bapela is a South African politician who is currently serving as the Deputy Minister of Public Enterprises since 6 March 2023. Before that,he was Deputy Minister of Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs from 2014 to 2023. A member of the African National Congress (ANC),he has been a member of the National Assembly since 2002 and a deputy minister since 2010.
Hlengiwe Buhle Mkhize was a South African politician who served as Minister of Higher Education and Training and Minister of Home Affairs under President Jacob Zuma. A member of the National Assembly and national executive since May 2009,she was Deputy Minister in the Presidency for Women,Youth and Persons with Disabilities when she died in September 2021.
Mkhacani Joseph Maswanganyi is a South African politician from Limpopo Province. He represents the African National Congress (ANC) in the National Assembly,where he is the chairperson of the Standing Committee on Finance. He was formerly the Minister of Transport from March 2017 to February 2018.
Sindisiwe Lydia Chikunga is a South African politician who is serving as the Minister of Transport since March 2023. A member of the African National Congress,she has been a Member of the National Assembly of South Africa since 2004. Chikunga had previously served as Deputy Minister of Transport twice,from 2012 to 2019 and again from 2021 to 2023,and as Deputy Minister of Public Service and Administration from 2019 until 2021. She is a midwife by profession.
Khumbudzo Phophi Silence Ntshavheni is a South African politician who is currently serving as Minister in the Presidency since March 2023. She was formerly the Minister of Communications and Digital Technologies from 2021 to 2023 and the Minister of Small Business Development from 2019 to 2021. She is a member of the African National Congress (ANC).
Mabel Patronella Mentor,known as Vytjie Mentor,was a South African politician,who served as a member of the National Assembly from 2002 until 2014. She represented the African National Congress and served as the party's caucus chairperson between 2004 and 2008. She was chairperson of the portfolio committee on public enterprises from 2009 to 2010. She is credited to be one of the first people to break ranks with the ANC and raise the alarm on state capture.
Mavhungu Maureen Lerule-Ramakhanya is a South African politician. A member of the African National Congress,Lerule-Ramakhanya is a former mayor of the Vhembe District Municipality. She was elected as a Member of the Limpopo Provincial Legislature in May 2019. She was then elected as the speaker of the legislature. In March 2020,Lerule-Ramakhanya was appointed as the Member of the Executive Council (MEC) for Transport and Community Safety. She was moved to the Education portfolio of the executive council in June 2022.
Dipuo Bertha Letsatsi-Duba is a South African politician who is currently serving as South African Ambassador to Turkey. She served as Minister of State Security in the first cabinet of President Cyril Ramaphosa from February 2018 to May 2019. Before that,she was Deputy Minister of Public Service and Administration from March 2017 to February 2018.
David Masondo is a South African politician who is currently serving as Deputy Minister of Finance since May 2019. He is also the second deputy general secretary of the South African Communist Party (SACP) and a member of the National Executive Committee of the African National Congress (ANC).
Tandi Mahambehlala is a South African politician who has served as the Chairperson of the Portfolio Committee on Tourism since 2021. A member of the African National Congress (ANC),she served as the Chairperson of the Portfolio Committee on International Relations and Cooperation from 2019 to 2021. Mahambehlala was Deputy Minister of Communications between 2017 and 2018. She has been a Member of Parliament since 2014.
Dikeledi Phillistus Magadzi is a South African African National Congress politician who served as a Member of the National Assembly from 2014 until 2023. She served as Chairperson of the Portfolio Committee on Transport from 2014 to 2019,as Deputy Minister of Transport from 2019 to 2021 and as Deputy Minister of Water and Sanitation from 2021 until 2023. Magadzi had previously served as a Member of the Executive Council (MEC) in the Limpopo Provincial Government.
Thandi Moraka is a South African politician who is currently serving as a Member of the Limpopo Provincial Legislature. She was Member of the Executive Council (MEC) for Sports,Arts and Culture in the Limpopo provincial government between July 2018 and October 2022. She is a member of the African National Congress (ANC) and in 2022 was elected to a five-year term on the party's National Executive Committee. She formerly served as Deputy Secretary-General of the ANC Youth League from 2015 to 2019 and as a member of the Limpopo ANC's Provincial Executive Committee from 2018 to 2022.
Mxolisi Abraham Dukwana is a South African politician who has been the seventh Premier of the Free State since February 2023. He has also served as Provincial Chairperson of the Free State branch of his political party,the African National Congress (ANC),since January 2023. Prior to his election as Premier,he served in the Free State Executive Council as Member of the Executive Council (MEC) for Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs since October 2021.
Matjie Lehlogonolo Alfred Masoga is a South African politician who represented the African National Congress (ANC) in the Limpopo Provincial Legislature from 2009 to 2019. He was Limpopo's Member of the Executive Council for Roads and Transport from July 2013 to May 2014 and he subsequently served as Deputy Speaker of the Limpopo Provincial Legislature from 2014 to 2019. He rose to prominence as the Provincial Chairperson of the Limpopo branch of the ANC Youth League,although he was expelled from the league in July 2010 after falling out with league president Julius Malema.
Joyce Clementine Moloi-Moropa is a South African politician who has been the treasurer of the South African Communist Party (SACP) since 2012. She represented the African National Congress (ANC) in the National Assembly from 2008 to 2016 and before that from 2001 to 2004. She chaired Parliament's Portfolio Committee on Communications from 2014 until her resignation at the end of February 2016,and in that capacity she was frequently at odds with the communications ministry and board of the SABC.
Rembuluwani Moses Tseli is a South African politician who served as a Member of the National Assembly of South Africa from 2014 until 2019,representing the African National Congress. Tseli had previously been the chief whip of the Makhado Local Municipality.
