"Float Your Boat" is the sixth episode of the fourth season of RuPaul's Drag Race . [1] [2] [3] [4] It originally aired on March 5, 2012. Billy B, Kelly Osbourne, and Pauley Perrette are guest judges.

For the mini-challenge, the contestants must gain the biggest crowd reaction in a wet T-shirt contest. [5] Willam wins the mini-challenge. For the main challenge, the contestants create and wear a pride float based on a color of the pride flag. [6] Following are the contestants and select colors:

Billy B, Kelly Osbourne, and Pauley Perrette are guest judges. On the main stage, Latrice Royale, Phi Phi O'Hara, and Willam receive positive critiques, and Willam wins the challenge. DiDa Ritz, Jiggly Caliente, and Milan receive negative critiques, and DiDa Ritz is deemed safe. Jiggly Caliente and Milan place in the bottom and face off in a lip-sync to "Born This Way" (2011) by Lady Gaga. Jiggly Caliente wins the lip-sync and Milan is eliminated from the competition.

The show premiered on October 22, 2012, on Logo TV, before relocating to VH1. However, it was announced on February 20, 2020, on the show's official Twitter account that the fifth season would premiere on June 5, 2020, on Showtime. Following the cast announcement on May 8, 2020, producers announced that the show would remain airing on VH1 instead of Showtime due to the COVID-19 pandemic which caused "various scheduling and programming adjustments". Consisting of 30 tracks, the album is a sequel to Christmas Queens (2015) and features RuPaul's Drag Race contestants alongside Jackie Beat, Michelle Visage, and Carnie Wilson performing mostly original material; exceptions include ensemble covers of "Deck the Halls" and "Auld Lang Syne, as well as Visage's rendition of "O Holy Night". The compilation was promoted by a music video for "Working Holiday", which features Alaska Thunderfuck and Manila Luzon, a web series entitled Christmas Queens, and a tour by various artists with December 2016 shows in the United Kingdom, Canada, and the United States. DiDa Ritz is the stage name of Xavier Hairston, an American drag performer who competed on season 4 of RuPaul's Drag Race. Dida Ritz is based in Chicago, where she performs regularly and hosts Drag Race viewing parties. Her performance of "This Will Be" by Natalie Cole during a lip-sync contest has been deemed among the show's best.

Dwayne Cooper, also known by the drag persona Milan and as Dwayne Milan, is an American actor and entertainer who competed on the fourth season of RuPaul's Drag Race. On stage, Cooper has had roles in multiple national tours, and he performed in Broadway productions of Hairspray and Motown: The Musical. Raised in Florence, South Carolina, Cooper relocated to New York City.

Lashauwn Beyond is an American drag performer and costume designer who competed on season 4 of RuPaul's Drag Race. A catchphrase she said in an argument with fellow contestant Jiggly Caliente on the companion show RuPaul's Drag Race: Untucked, "This is not RuPaul's Best Friend Race", became a meme and a part of the franchise's history. Lashauwn Beyond is based in Florida and continues to design outfits for Drag Race contestants.
