Foster is a village in Pierce County, Nebraska, United States. [2] It is part of the Norfolk, Nebraska Micropolitan Statistical Area. The population was 51 at the 2010 census.
A post office was established in Foster in 1886, and remained in operation until it was discontinued in 2002. [4] The community was named for George Foster, an original owner of the town site. [5]
According to the United States Census Bureau, the village has a total area of 0.22 square miles (0.57 km2), all land. [6]

The average household size was 1.96 and the average family size was 2.41.
The median age in the village was 52.3 years. 15.7% of residents were under the age of 18; 3.9% were between the ages of 18 and 24; 17.6% were from 25 to 44; 39.3% were from 45 to 64; and 23.5% were 65 years of age or older. The gender makeup of the village was 51.0% male and 49.0% female.
