Fundy Albert is a village municipality in the Canadian province of New Brunswick. The jurisdiction was formed through the 2023 New Brunswick local governance reforms which saw the consolidation of local government entities into regions or districts.
Fundy Albert was established on January 1, 2023 by New Brunswick regulation 2022-50, the Local Governments Establishment Regulation of the Local Governance act, through the amalgamation of the village municipalities of Alma, Riverside-Albert and Hillsborough while at the same time annexing certain mostly adjacent unincorporated areas. Fundy Albert has a relatively cool, wet and snowy humid continental climate with significant seasonal differences in spite of its near-ocean location. Summers are warm but relatively short, whereas winters are relatively cold but milder than inland areas.

The Bay of Fundy is a bay between the Canadian provinces of New Brunswick and Nova Scotia, with a small portion touching the U.S. state of Maine. It is an arm of the Gulf of Maine. Its tidal range is the highest in the world. The name is probably a corruption of the French word fendu, meaning 'split'.
Grand Manan is a Canadian island in the Bay of Fundy, part of the province of New Brunswick. Grand Manan is also the name of an incorporated village, which includes the main island and numerous nearby islands; White Head Island, small islands near it, and Machias Seal Island are not part of the village.
Dorchester is a community in Westmorland County, New Brunswick, Canada. The community became part of the new town of Tantramar in the 2023 New Brunswick local governance reform. Originally incorporated as a town in 1911, it was converted to a village in 1966. By 1825 it had been named for Guy Carleton, 1st Baron Dorchester, an 18th-century Governor-General of the old Province of Quebec, but prior to that was called Botsford.

It is on a harbour of the same name opening onto the Bay of Fundy. Municipal elections were held in the Canadian province of New Brunswick on 28 November 2022 to elect local governments in newly formed municipalities following the 2023 New Brunswick local governance reform process. The new municipalities will come into existence on 1 January 2023. In total, there will be elections for 50 new municipalities and 12 rural districts, with a total of 446 elected positions. Of the 446 positions, 148 seats were elected by acclamation. Four spots had no candidates at all and will be filled with by-elections in May 2023. Elections are not being held in larger municipalities such as Moncton, Saint John and Fredericton which did not go through the government reform.
