Gangavalli is a town and Taluk in Salem district in the state of Tamil Nadu, India.
As of 2011 [update] India census, [1] Gangavalli had a population of 12,015. Males 5,907 and females 6,108. Gangavalli has an average literacy rate of 60%, higher than the national average of 59.5%: male literacy is 68%, and female literacy is 51%. In Gangavalli, 11% of the population is under 6 years of age.
The city is part of the Gangavalli (state assembly constituency). A. Nallathambi is the MLA from ADMK party elected in 2021. [2] [3]

Now Salem has been developed a lot by building many bridges and is considered to be the smart city. Salem is famous for cultivating mangoes.
