The Gilgit-Baltistan Assembly (GBA) [1] formerly known as Gilgit-Baltistan Legislative Assembly (GBLA) is a 33-seat unicameral house of elected representatives of the people of Gilgit-Baltistan.
The 3rd Gilgit-Baltistan Elections was held on 15 November 2020.

The Gilgit-Baltistan Legislative Assembly was formed as a part of the Gilgit-Baltistan Empowerment and Self-Governance Order in 2009 which granted the region self-rule and an elected legislative assembly. [2] The first Gilgit-Baltistan Assembly elections were held in 12 November 2009 which Pakistan Peoples Party won by 20 seats.

The 2020 elections helds on 15 November 2020.
As per the results of the 2009 elections, [4] the assembly is split between members of the left leaning and secular Pakistan Peoples Party, the centre-right Pakistan Muslim League, the secular and liberal Muttahida Qaumi Movement, and the Islamist Jamiat Ulema e Islam. In a special by-election in 2011, a candidate from the Balawaristan National Front won a seat from Ghizer with slightly less than 50% of votes cast in his favor. [5] In Sept 2013, FM Nashad from SKD 3 LA 8 won the elections with the majority after Wazir Shakeel resigned from the membership. FM Nashad earlier served as Deputy chief executive for 5 years. He belongs to PML(N).
Hafiz Hafeezur Rehman was 2nd Chief Minister of Gilgit-Baltistan and also leader of Pakistan's conservative political party PML-N, in Gilgit-Baltistan. He served in office from 26 June 2015 to 23 June 2020.
GBA-1 (Gilgit-I) is a constituency of Gilgit Baltistan Assembly which is currently represented by the Amjad Hussain Azar of Pakistan Peoples Party who is the current opposition leader of the 3rd Gilgit Baltistan Assembly.
GBA-9 (Skardu-III) is a constituency of Gilgit Baltistan Assembly which is currently represented by Wazir Muhammad Saleem an independent Member.
GBA-15 (Diamer-I) is a constituency of Gilgit Baltistan Assembly which is currently represented by Haji Shah Baig.
GBA-17 (Tangir-I) is a constituency of Gilgit Baltistan Assembly of the Tangir District which is currently represented by Rehmat Khaliq of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (F).
GBLA-18 (Darel-I) is a constituency of Gilgit Baltistan Assembly of the Darel District which is currently represented by Gulbar Khan of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf.
GBLA-24 (Ghanche-III) is a constituency of Gilgit Baltistan Assembly which is currently represented by Muhammad Shafique of Pakistan Muslim League (N).
Provincial elections were held in the Pakistani province of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on 11 May 2013, alongside nationwide general elections and three other provincial elections in Sindh, Balochistan and Punjab. The remaining two territories of Pakistan, Azad Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan, were ineligible to vote due to their disputed status.

Jafarullah Khan is a Pakistani politician who is the member of Gilgit Baltistan Legislative Assembly and serving as Deputy Speaker of Gilgit Baltistan Legislative Assembly. He is a senior member of Pakistan Muslim League N (PML-N). He is serving the office since 2015.
