According to the United States Census Bureau, the township has a total area of 34.0 square miles (88 km2), of which 34.0 square miles (88 km2) is land and 0.04 square miles (0.10 km2) (0.09%) is water.
As of the census [1] of 2000, there were 281 people, 97 households, and 87 families residing in the township. The population density was 8.3 people per square mile (3.2/km2). There were 114 housing units at an average density of 3.4/sq mi (1.3/km2). The racial makeup of the township was 95.37% White, 1.42% Native American, 1.07% Asian, and 2.14% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 1.78% of the population.
There were 97 households, out of which 38.1% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 82.5% were married couples living together, 4.1% had a female householder with no husband present, and 9.3% were non-families. 9.3% of all households were made up of individuals, and 2.1% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.90 and the average family size was 3.06.
