Felton Township was named for S. M. Felton, a railroad official. [3]

As of the census [1] of 2000, there were 108 people, 41 households, and 27 families residing in the township. The population density was 3.1 people per square mile (1.2/km²). There were 49 housing units at an average density of 1.4/sq mi (0.5/km²). The racial makeup of the township was 96.30% White, 0.93% African American, 1.85% Native American, and 0.93% from two or more races.
There were 41 households out of which 24.4% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 56.1% were married couples living together, 4.9% had a female householder with no husband present, and 34.1% were non-families. 29.3% of all households were made up of individuals and 17.1% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.63 and the average family size was 3.41.
