Gangaraju, professionally known as Hamsalekha, is an Indian film composer and songwriter who works in South Indian cinema, predominantly in the Kannada film industry since the late 1980s. He is also a screenplay writer, dialogue writer, instrumentalist and conductor, having composed and written over 500 albums.
Veeraswamy Ravichandran, known mononymously as Ravichandran, is an Indian actor, director, producer, music director, lyricist and editor working predominantly in Kannada cinema. The son of film producer N. Veeraswamy, he continues to produce and distribute films under his father's production house, Sri Eswari Productions. He is popularly referred to as "Crazy Star" by the media and his followers.
Yuga Purusha is an Indian 1989 Kannada-language film directed by D. Rajendra Babu. The film stars Ravichandran and Khushbu. It is a remake of Bollywood movie Karz. The music for the film was composed by Hamsalekha. The movie is about reincarnation, where a man is murdered by his newly wedded wife in his past life for the sake of acquiring the man's property. After taking a new birth, the man takes revenge against his past life's wife. Like other Ravichandran movies released during the late 80s period, this was also the musical blockbuster of the year.
Sangeetha Sagara Ganayogi Panchakshara Gavai is a 1995 Indian Kannada-language biographical film, directed by Chindodi Bangaresh and produced by Chindodi Leela. Starring Lokesh in the title role, the film also featured Girish Karnad and Vijay Raghavendra in other pivotal roles. The film is based on the life of Panchakshara Gawai, who was a blind singer from Karnataka who made a great difference to the life of many blind people in Indian society.
Bannada Gejje is a 1990 Indian Kannada-language film written and directed by Rajendra Singh Babu starring Ravichandran and Amala. The music is scored by Hamsalekha. The supporting cast features Bharathi Vishnuvardhan, Kalyan Kumar, Suresh Heblikar, Amjad Khan and Devaraj. The film was simultaneously shot in Telugu as Prema Yuddham.
Velai Kidaichuduchu is a 1990 Indian Tamil-language crime action film written and directed by P. Vasu. The film stars Sathyaraj and Gautami. It was released on 15 August 1990. The film was remade in Telugu as Assembly Rowdy (1991), in Kannada as Rowdy & MLA (1991) and in Hindi as Loafer (1996).
Neenu Nakkare Haalu Sakkare is a 1991 Indian Kannada-language comedy film directed by Dorai–Bhagavan. It stars Vishnuvardhan in the lead role opposite five heroines. The music was composed by Hamsalekha. The story revolves round Subbu’s (Vishnuvardhan) hunt for a suitable wife and how he eventually finds one, with many hilarious scenes. Ambareesh makes a cameo appearance.
Halunda Tavaru is a 1994 Indian Kannada-language drama film starring Vishnuvardhan and Sithara. It was directed by D. Rajendra Babu and produced by Vizag Raju. The music and lyrics were written and composed by Hamsalekha. It was commercially successful and completed 25 weeks in many theaters. It is based on a novel of the same name by Krishnamoorthy Puranik. The film was remade in Telugu as Puttinti Gowravam.
Habba (transl. Festival) is a 1999 Indian Kannada-language drama film written and directed by D. Rajendra Babu. The film has an ensemble cast including Vishnuvardhan, Ambareesh, Devaraj, Jayapradha, Urvashi, Shashikumar, Ramkumar, Vijayalakshmi, Kasthuri and Charulatha. The movie was produced by Bharathi Devi for Chinni Chitra productions. The movie became a blockbuster and ran for more than 25 weeks. The film was remade in Telugu in 2002 as Chandravamsam starring Krishna. The movie was loosely based on the Pandavas's exile episode in the Virata Parva of Mahabharata.
Hrudayavantha is a 2003 Indian Kannada-language drama film directed and written by P. Vasu and produced by K. Manju. The film stars Vishnuvardhan, Nagma and Anu Prabhakar. The film met with average reviews upon release. The soundtrack and score was composed by Hamsalekha.
Ondagona Baa is a 2003 Indian Kannada-language romance drama film directed by Udayasankar and produced by Rockline Venkatesh. The film stars V. Ravichandran and Shilpa Shetty. Yester-year veteran actors J. V. Somayajulu and K. R. Vijaya too feature in prominent roles. The film is a remake of the Telugu film Kalisundam Raa (2000). The film also marked the reunion of actor Ravichandran with music composer Hamsalekha who had parted ways due to some differences for many years.
Thavarina Siri is a 2006 Indian Kannada-language drama film directed by Om Sai Prakash and written by Ajay Kumar. The film cast includes Shiva Rajkumar, Daisy Bopanna, Ashitha, Ashwini among others. The film was produced by Ramu while the original score and soundtrack were composed by Hamsalekha.
Chinna is a 1994 Indian Kannada-language action film produced, written, directed and enacted by V. Ravichandran. The cast includes Yamuna, Puneet Issar, Mukhyamantri Chandru, Lokanath, and Pandari Bai. Ravichandran plays the role of a cop happily settled with his wife and suddenly becomes aware of his ancestral property existence in the middle of a forest occupied by the local goons. This is the only Kannada film of Sabu Cyril. The music was composed by Hamsalekha and was declared a musical hit upon release.
Mommaga is a 1997 Indian Kannada language romantic drama film directed by V. Ravichandran and produced by Sandesh Nagaraj. Besides Ravichandran, the film stars Meena and Umashri in the leading roles. The songs of the movie composed and written by Hamsalekha were received well.
Rowdy & MLA is a 1991 Indian Kannada-language crime action film directed by Om Sai Prakash who also wrote a fresh screenplay for the original story by P. Vasu. The film is a remake of the Tamil film Velai Kidaichuduchu (1990), which was directed by P. Vasu. The film stars Ambareesh and Malashri. The film's music was composed by Hamsalekha and the audio was launched on the Lahari Music banner.

Latha, commonly known as Latha Hamsalekha, is an Indian playback singer in Kannada. She is the wife of composer Hamsalekha. For her song Aa Arunodaya Chanda in the movie Arunodaya, Latha was awarded the Karnataka State Film Award for Best Female Playback Singer in 1999–2000.
Nandeesha is a 2012 Indian Kannada-language film directed by Om Saiprakash, starring Komal Kumar, Parul Yadav and Malavika Wales in the lead roles. The film is a remake of the Malayalam film Thilakkam (2003).
